ASEAN NCAP Test Results: Hyundai Creta Receives 5 Stars while Stargazer Scores Only 4 Stars!

The ASEAN NCAP has just released the test results for 2022 Hyundai Creta and Stargazer SUV, which recently underwent testing at the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS) PC3 crash testing facility in Melaka, Malaysia.
As shown by ASEAN NCAP test result, the Creta outperformed Stargazer in every category analysed, earning 34.762 points for adult occupant protection (AOP), 15.56 points for child occupant protection (COP), 14.08 points for safety assist systems, and 11.42 points for motorcycle safety.

In contrast, the Stargazer MPV received scores of 31.21 for AOP, 14.48 for COP, 12.04 for safety assist features, and 8.75 for motorcycle safety.
Aside from that, the Hyundai Creta has a minimum of two airbags in all of its available variants, but in the vast majority of Southeast Asian markets where it is sold, six airbag variants come across as standard.
The Creta is also equipped with ISOFIX anchors for child seats, electronic stability control, ABS, seat belt reminders for front occupants, and pedestrian protection technology.

Safety aspects of Creta consists of AEB City, AEB Inter-Urban, AEB Pedestrian, forward collision warning, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, auto high beam and blind spot detection, child presence detection, and rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist (RCCA) for motorcycle detection.
Active safety features for the Stargazer MPV include ABS, seat belt reminders, ISOFIX anchors, and pedestrian protection technology.
Two frontal airbags are included as standard equipment. The Stargazer has lane departure warning, forward collision warning, and lane keep assist as either standard or optional active safety features, with ESC being provided as standard in Thailand.

Moving on, there’s also optional blind spot detection, automatic high beam, AEB City, AEB Inter-Urban, AEB Pedestrian, and safety assistance technologies in all variants.
For more info, Hyundai's Creta B-segment SUV is the first SUV to be tested in accordance with the 2021–2025 ASEAN NCAP protocol. The Stargazer, Hyundai's first MPV and the second Hyundai model to be tested in accordance with this protocol, will follow.
With that being said, the Creta has received a whopping 5 stars from ASEAN NCAP, giving it a total rating of 75.78, compared to the Stargazer's 4 stars, giving it a total rating of 66.48.
