Mother Lets Daughter, 2, Draw On Family Porsche, Sparking Online Parenting Debate
After letting her two-year-old daughter paint her luxury Porsche sports car, a mother in China has sparked an online debate on boundaries and parenting.
The mom, who resides in Wuhan in the Hubei province in central China, claimed that her daughter loves to draw and frequently does it at home, according to Bailu Video.
Earlier this month, the mother, who goes by Mao, told her kid to use washable paint to draw on the family's fancy automobile in the parking lot of their building to give variation to her drawing.
The girl painted bright animals, fruits, and various designs on the white car. She even left handprints on the doors.
"Drawing on the car is a new experience for my child. She simply relocated the drawing area. She's been having a good time playing," Mao remarked.
She continued, "A Porsche could be valuable for adults, but it's just a regular car for a two-year-old."
Later, with her daughter's assistance, the mother scrubbed the vehicle.
More than 29 million people have watched the video on Weibo, where there is already an online discussion on whether it is appropriate to allow a little child paint on such a costly car.
Mao claimed that she had warned her daughter against painting on cars unless adults specifically permitted it.
