DBKL: Damansara Link Reconstruction Work Will Complete By Dec

The Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) announced that reconstruction of the Damansara Link project is scheduled to complete by Dec this year.
Thus, road users from Petaling Jaya who travel using the Damansara Link via the SPRINT Highway to travel to Kuala Lumpur will have to change their route plans due to the ongoing operational work.
A city hall spokesperson was quoted by local daily The Star that it aims to build a 1.34 km, multilevel three-lane flyover to Jalan Semantan as part of the initial plan. Furthermore, the road project has been delayed due to inevitable circumstances like stormy weather and overdue material shipment delivery.

Originally scheduled for completion by the end of this month, efforts to reopen the road has been postponed since Oct 28 last year. Since then, the Damansara Link, which connects Petaling Jaya and Jalan Bukit Kiara with Jalan Maarof and Jalan Johar, has been blocked off with barriers, particularly in the vicinity of the construction site.
Bukit Damansara Residents Association president Datuk Sufian Majid urged relevant parties to expedite the project as traffic in Bangsar has increased due to more motorists using the route.
Road users from Petaling Jaya to Kuala Lumpur are advised to take the four alternative routes provided in anticipation of prolonged traffic congestion, especially during peak hours.
