Loke Directs Prasarana To Meet On Klang Valley Train Disruptions

According to Anthony Loke, Prasarana Malaysia Bhd has been directed to hold a special meeting to determine the source of the technical issues affecting the MRT and LRT lines in the Klang Valley.
The Transport Minister admitted that several issues with train services had arisen in the last two weeks, causing commuters' journeys to be disrupted.
"I express my regret and apologies to those who experienced such delays yesterday, particularly along the MRT Kajang Line and the LRT Kelana Jaya Line." (Monday, March 27).
"It occurred during peak hours, when people were rushing home to break fast."

"I have directed the chairman of Prasarana to convene a special meeting to discuss the technical difficulties and submit a report to the ministry."
When asked about the disrupted train services in the Klang Valley, he told reporters on Tuesday (March 28): "They need to find the source of the issues and take all necessary measures to overcome the problem."
Loke previously introduced the MyBas50 bus pass and MyBas electric at the Larkin Bus Terminal.

On Monday morning, commuters on the MRT Kajang Line faced delays due to technical issues between the Pusat Bandar Damansara and Phileo Damansara stations.
Rapid KL announced on its official Twitter account at 8.55 a.m. that a train between the two stations was experiencing brake and power issues, and that repairs were being carried out immediately.
It later tweeted at 6.50pm about delays on the LRT Kelana Jaya Line due to system issues at the Taman Bahagia station.
