2024 BMW 3 Series Touring Lands in Singapore – Malaysia When?
BMW Singapore adds yet another estate model to their fleet this year, as the all-new 2024 BMW 3 Series Touring officially lands in the city-state. The seventh-gen 3 Series estate model will sit alongside its M-badged twin, the BMW M3 Touring, as the two estate offerings available.
Arriving in a single 330i Touring M Sport Pro trim, the 3 Series Touring sports the same front fascia as the facelifted 3 Series sedan (LCI), featuring new LED headlights and front bumper design.
The Singapore-bound 330i Touring will come standard with the M Sport Pro package – first-time offered in any BMW 3 Series models worldwide. This package adds the M high-gloss Shadowline trim throughout the car exterior, including on the signature kidney grille.
While the front half of the car looks the same as its sedan twin, the rear end is significantly different, due to its estate body style. Said body style grants the car with roof rails – also finished in high-gloss black. At the rear, the 330i Touring sports a large rear diffuser plus a pair of massive tailpipes on either side – both part of the M Sports Pro package.
Apart from that, the 3 Series Touring also rides on a set of 18-inch M light alloy wheels with double-spoke design, finished in 848 M Bicolour hue, plus the blue-hued M brake callipers hiding behind said wheels.
On board, the 3 Series Touring is primed with the stunning BMW Curved Display, powered by the latest BMW OS8. Said curved display layout consists of a 14.9-inch infotainment display with smartphone-like menu layouts, as well as the smaller 12.3-inch driver’s display to match the full-colour head-up display (HUD).
Thanks to the addition of M Sports Pro pack, the car is now laden with M parts, including the M-specific seat surfaces, Aluminium mesh trim strips, as well as the M leather steering wheel with paddle shifters at the back.
Cabin and cargo spaces are no issue in this sporty estate, as it comes standard with a 500-litre boot space, which can be further expanded up to 1,510-litre of stowage, once you fold the rear seats down fully. For more convenience, the 3 Series Touring also comes with a separate luggage compartment aperture at the rear windscreen, aside from the standard rear boot hatch.
On the performance front, the BMW 330i Touring harnesses BMW’s proprietary 2.0-litre 4-cyl TwinPower Turbo mill, delivering up to 245 HP and 400 NM. This twin-turbo engine is then mated to an eight-speed Steptronic Sport gearbox that works in-tandem to propel this estate from nought to 100 KM/H in 6.1 seconds, while en route to its V-max of 250 KM/H.
Special for the Singapore-bound 3 Series Touring, it comes standard with M Sport suspension system that works in-tandem with the variable sport steering system to deliver a sportier handling performance to this sporty estate.
The all-new 2024 BMW 330i Touring is now available in Singapore, with its price starting from SGD368,888 (RM1.23 million). Though not mentioned in the release, we’d reckon said pricing excludes the bidding cost for the regulation-required Certified of Entitlement (COE), which alone can cost from SGD100,000 to SGD120,000 (RM330K-400K approx.).
With this being the second Touring model offered in the island republic, it is safe to say there’s a growing demand for such body styles in their local market space. However, things are on the opposite spectrum in our local market, as BMW Malaysia does not offer a single estate/wagon model in their line-up.
So folks, what are your thoughts on the new BMW 3 Series Touring? Do you think this estate model is too cool for school like we do? Should BMW Malaysia consider launching this model here in Malaysia? As always, leave your thoughts in the comments down below…
