Changan Auto Will Set Up EV Production Base In Thailand, Its First Outside China

Changan's Thai plant will serve as a manufacturing hub for right-hand drive electric and hybrid vehicles and batteries, which will be exported to a number of countries. In 2022, Changan was ranked 15th in global EV sales.
Changan Automobile's global expansion strategy includes the move, as the company strives to become a world-class EV brand.
The company has already established a presence in over 60 countries and regions, selling over 10 million vehicles globally. Changan Automobile ranked first in China's EV market share in 2020, with over 300,000 units sold.
