Tickets For Additional Northbound ETS Trains Selling Out Fast, Says Loke
The transport ministry announces more than 90% of 8,820 additional electric train service (ETS) KL Sentral - Padang Besar and KL Sentral - Butterworth two-way tickets have been sold since March 24 until now.
This means only a few tickets left after a quick check at its website. Transport Minister Anthony Loke said that four additional trains were added due to high demand from the public, after regular northbound tickets for ETS and Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd (KTMB) Intercity services from April 19 to 25 were sold out.

Other than the northbound route, KTMB also offered the Lambaian Aidilfitri special express train service for those heading to the East Coast.
Following that, he added that the service is between KL Sentral and Tumpat Station, with four return journeys of 1,864 tickets. As reported, 1,685 tickets for the service have been sold as of Tuesday (April 18).
“This is the government’s effort to ensure that more Malaysians can return to their hometowns using public transport, even though we have limited capacity,” the minister said.
