Aston Martin DBX707 AMR23 Edition Celebrates AMR’s Recent F1 Success
Aston Martin celebrates its recent Formula One (F1) success by launching a special version of its signature SUV mode, the Aston Martin DBX707 AMR23 Edition. Already dubbed as the world’s most powerful ICE-powered SUV, folks at AM’s Gaydon facility only needed to grant this special model an appearance update to match its F1 counterpart, the AMR23 Formula One car.
Specially commissioned by AM’s bespoke arm, Q by Aston Martin, the DBX707 AMR23 Edition is draped in colours inspired by the AMR23’s racing livery. The main Podium Green body hue is matched with striking lime green accents, while the gloss black carbon fibre body kit completes the Aston Martin Cognizant F1 Team’s official colourway.
Although the rest of the car carries the same design kit as the baseline DBX707, this special model comes with several touches to make it distinctive. Key things include the special Q by Aston Martin badge on both the front fenders and rear wing, as well as the green-hued massive brake callipers, hiding behind the SUV’s massive 22-inch wheels.
More F1 homage can be seen on board the DBX707 AMR23 cabin, as it sports a slew of carbon fibre trims and lime green accents to match Fernando Alonso’s weekend track machine. Upon entering this special SUV, you’ll be greeted with special carbon fibre door sills with AMR23 logo. Moreover, the seats upholstery match the car’s racing green exterior, giving more ‘light’ in this otherwise monotonous cabin space.
On the performance front, the DBX707 AMR23 powertrain setup mirrors its standard twin, harnessing an AMG-sourced 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 mill that delivers 697 HP and 900 NM – making it the most powerful ICE-powered SUV out there. This figure translates to a 0-100 KM/H sprint finish in just 3.1 seconds, en route to its V-max of 310 KM/H – also the fastest of its kind.
Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant F1 Team's AMR23 Formula One Car
Headquartered at the famed Silverstone race track, the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant F1 Team is having a rather good 2023 season starts, bagging four podium finishes out of the first five races. With two-time F1 World Drivers’ Champion Fernando Alonso leading the team, the AMR is set to have its best-season since its 2018 inception.
The Aston Martin DBX707 AMR23 Edition is now available for order with an undisclosed price tag. For reference, the standard DBX707 commands a $232,000 (RM1.038 million approx.) price tag, so expect a much heftier one for this F1-inspired special model.
