Launched: Suzuki Jimny Rhino Edition – Just 30 Units, RM174,900 Each

Just 30 units of the Suzuki Jimny Rhino Edition will be available, each tagged at RM174,900.
Malaysian Suzuki cars importer and distributor Naza Eastern Motors Sdn Bhd has announced the availability of the Suzuki Jimny Rhino Edition earlier today. Just 30 units are up for grabs, each tagged at a princely figure of RM174,900 sans insurance.
Dressed exclusively in a Pure White Pearl colourway, this special of the cult-favourite compact 4x4 SUV sees its exterior decked out with special red/grey/black stripes plus “Real Offroader” script on its sides. It also boasts dedicated Rhino graphics on its spare tyre cover and doors, as well as the Rhino tailgate badge.

Red/Grey/Black stripe decals with "Real Offroader" script are present down the sides and onthe front hoot.

Also present in the tailgate of this special is its variant-specific Rhino badge.
Other key touches include red-hued “Jimny”-branded mud flaps, chrome side mirror caps, a pair of wind-deflectors on the door windows, as well as a pair of additional bash plates in the undercarriage for the front and rear differentials.
Historically, the Rhino badge this special edition adopts dates back to 1982 when the original Jimny was imported into the UK featuring a Rhino drawn on its plastic spare wheel cover. This proved appealing, thus prompting Suzuki to adopt a redesigned logo for which as a means to signify toughness.

Other notable add-ons include the Suzuki Heritage front grille, Rhino-badged spare tyre cover, red Jimny mudflaps, as well as additional bash plates covering the front and rear diffs.
Cosmetic upgrades aside, there are no mechanical changes to notes, with this special edition Jimny retaining the base version’s 1.5-litre VVT nat-asp 4-cyl petrol mill and 4-speed automatic plus part-time 4x4 driveline (with low-range transfer case) setup, the former delivering 100 HP and 130 NM.
Basic kit also remains unchanged, with this Rhino Edition continue to offer things like full-LED headlights, 15-inch alloy wheels, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment display suite with two-speakers plus Apple CarPlay connectivity, and a single-zone automatic climate control.

unchanged are the cabin (left) and its core features, and the 1.5-litre 4-cyl petrol VVT mill (right).

Existing Jimny owners can opt to deck out their cars to mirror this special throughthe Jimny Rhino Kit offered exclusively through the Suzuki Petaling Jaya outlet.
As for safety, this version of the Jimny also sees no changes from the base version. Primed on board are two airbags, ABS with BA, electronic stability control (ESC), hill-start assist (HAS), as well as a hill-descent control (HDC) module to complement its all-terrain driveline.
Notably, existing Jimny owners can enjoy the same upgrades as this latest special by purchasing the Jimny Rhino Kit. Priced at RM15,000 this kit retails exclusively through Naza Eastern Motor’s Petaling Jaya dealership. Take note, some kit mentioned are also offered through accessory packages sold by the firm.
