New Volkswagen Assurance Package Announced For IQ.Drive Models
Volkswagen Passengers Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has announced the availability of its new Volkswagen Assurance Package (VAP) after-sales coverage option. This is tailored specifically for VW models equipped with IQ.Drive, namely the recently refreshed Golf GTI and Arteon R-Line 4Motion.
Through VAP, owners of said hot hatch and sleek four-door fastback are granted with a 5-year, unlimited mileage warranty, a 3-year, 45,000 KM maintenance package, and a 5-year roadside assistance service. Depending on model, VPCM says VAP is valued between RM8,000 and RM10,000.
With VAP included, the Volkswagen Arteon R-Line 4Motion retails for RM301,012 sans insurance.
With VAP, VPCM seeks to grant Golf GTI and Arteon customers with greater peace of mind through its lengthened warranty period and inclusion of vehicle servicing over the standard coverage, with has a shorter 2-year length. Unchanged in both though is the 5-year roadside assistance coverage.
“We remain fully committed in providing our customers with the best product offering that addresses their needs. With VAP, customers can be rest assured that we have them covered,” said Denyu Bostandzhiev, newly appointed Managing Director of VPCM.
With VAP, the refreshed IQ.Drive-equipped Volkswagen Golf GTI is tagged at RM246,012 sans insurance.
Presently, prices listed by VPCM for both the refresh Golf GTI and Arteon R-Line 4Motion (as of July 3, 2023) already have this new VAP coverage factored in. However, customers can choose to opt out of VAP if they so wished, and doing so will see said prices adjusted to reflect said package’s omission.
With VAP included, the refreshed Volkswagen Golf GTI is tagged at RM246,012, whilst the Volkswagen Arteon R-Line 4Motion goes for RM301,012 – OTR excluding insurance costs.
