BYD Delivered Its 5 Millionth New Energy Vehicle
BYD announced that it had reached a new industry milestone on August 9, 2023. The Shenzhen-based firm became the world's first automaker to produce 5 million NEVs (New Energy Vehicles) for its production line.
According to Wang Chuanfu, Chairman and President of the BYD company. He was ecstatic with this progress and said:
“Today marks a historic moment for BYD as we witness our 5 millionth new energy vehicle roll off the production line. On this special occasion, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to our customers across the globe for their trust in our products, our partners in the industry for this journey shared, and every one of our employees whose hard work and dedication have made this landmark possible.”
BYD's new model is currently available in 54 countries. Malaysia, Australia, Uzbekistan, China, and other countries are included. Surprisingly, it took the company 13 years to reach 1 million NEV production. After that, it only took 18 months to reach 3 million. After 9 months, the company finally reached 5 million car production.
This achievement was made possible by the production of the DENZA N7. This EV has lidar, facial recognition, and a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 3 seconds.

Previously, the BYD Dolphin Malaysia was launched in Malaysia and priced from RM99000. We don't know when the DENZA N7 will arrive in Malaysia, but it could be soon!.
