IAM-MIME 2023 Shows Set To Welcome Visitors From 27-29 Oct
Organisers of AIM-MIME 2023 with MARii Deputy CEO Ts Nizmar Mohd Nazar at the combined shows' official launch earlier today.
Endorsed and supported by the Malaysia Automotive, Robotics, and IoT Institute (MARii), the International Auto Modified (IAM) Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia International Motor Expo (MIME) combined shows were officially launched earlier today.
Both shows will take place at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur from 27 to 29 Oct 2023, and organisers are poised to host more attendees than its last edition, the latter attracting no less than 104,000 visitors across its three-day run. What sets the combined IAM-MIME 2023 shows apart is its special curation comprised of three different genres of the automotive industry.
Besides a showcase of new cars from both legacy automakers and new marques, the second element of the show sees itself dedicated towards the burgeoning local Electric Vehicles (EVs) segment. Key highlighting names set to boost the show’s EV element include the likes of Mercedes-Benz, as well as Bermaz Auto Berhad through its Mazda, Kia, and Peugeot brands trio.

Avid car fans can also revel in the fact that IAM-MIME 2023 will see the participation of JPM Museo and Utama Motors. The former is renowned for their private collection of supercars, hypercars, as well as classic motoring icons of yesteryear, whilst the latter has risen in recent years to become one of the nation’s premier supercar purveyors too.
“The show will also be conducting a digital polling for the “Peoples’ Choice Car of the Year” and participants of this 10 question poll will also stand to win hourly prizes,” adds MIME show founder Yamin Vong earlier today. He adds that the “People’s Choice Car of the Year” will be announced later on 15 Nov through a special Car of the Year Awards ceremony.
Supplying the third and arguably most exciting element of the show is the grand showcase of over 300 customised cars that form the epicentre of IAM. Touted as the region’s largest car tuning and lifestyle show and competition, IAM has had the distinction of touring more than 38 cities throughout Indonesia since 2001, having expanded since then to host shows in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand too.
New cars aside, a host of modified and customised cars, EVs, as well as supercars, hypercars, and classic icons of yesteryear are set to go on display during AIM-MIME 2023 this October.
Along with said customised and modified cars showcase and competition, IAM is set to wow visiting enthusiasts through a variety of other attractions too. These include sim-racing, RC cars exhibit, various car club gatherings, live music festival, as well as a contests and giveaways for the public featuring attractive prizes up for grabs.
“The show has grown by leaps and bounds over the years. There is a huge following and love for modified cars in the region especially in Malaysia and this is extremely evident from the high quality of cars on display,” expressed IAM show founder Reza Aliwarga today.
Both Reza and Vong were on hand to launch both shows alongside MARii’s Deputy CEO Ts Nizmar Mohd Nazar, and Chairman of MIME Yang Mulia Sharifah Wani Jamalullail.
