Porsche 911 S/T - A Road Focused Lightweight GT3 RS With A "Stick-Shift"
-full.jpg)
Porsche is commemorating the 60th anniversary of the classic 911 with the introduction of the Porsche 911 S/T, a limited production variant built for maximum driving pleasure. This special edition would be limited to 1,963 units, paying homage to the year the first 911 was made.
The Porsche 911 S/T’s key focus would be on delivering a pure driving experience by combining the greatest characteristics of the 911 GT3 with Touring Package and the 911 GT3 RS. Powering the 911 S/T is the high-revving, naturally aspirated 4.0-liter boxer engine from the 911 GT3 RS, which produces an astonishing 518 HP. Uniquely, the power is routed to the wheels via a short-ratio manual transmission, which is a first for the GT3 RS power-plant.

The 911 S/T would be the lightest variant in the 992 series, weighing at only 1,380 kilograms thanks to its substantial lightweight construction. The front bonnet, roof, front wings, and doors are all made of carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP). Magnesium wheels, lightweight glass, and other weight-saving components to play a factor in boosting the car's agility and responsiveness.
The 911 S/T's driving dynamics are geared towards providing thrilling road experiences rather than being track focused. Its engine and wheels lower spinning mass assures quick and precise responses to driver command. The 911 S/T’s chassis, wheels, and engine upgrades were inspired by the original Porsche S race machine from the 1960s which provided increased acceleration, braking, traction, and turning grip.

The 911 S/T would come with a new lightweight clutch and a six-speed manual transmission with shorter gear ratios, enabling a more direct and rapid power delivery for real enthusiasts. The performance figures promised are equally impressive as it is said to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, peaking out at 300 km/h. However, unlike the 911 GT3 RS, the 911 S/T was developed with the intention of being used on public roads rather than on racetracks.
The optional Heritage Design Package for the 911 S/T includes exclusive exterior colours and wheel rim designs. The traditional Porsche crest, traditional Cognac fabric seat centres with black pinstripes, and two-tone semi-aniline leather trim add to the vintage appeal.

For the 911 S/T, lightweight centre-locking magnesium wheels measuring 20-inch (front) and 21-inch (rear) are also standard. It would also feature full bucket seats made of CFRP, a four-way adjustable Sports Seat Plus and the Sport Chrono instrument cluster package and clock finished in a classic green Porsche colour scheme.
In essence, the Porsche 911 S/T is a tribute to the 911's racing heritage, offering a distinct driving experience within the 911 GT lineup while providing optimum driving enjoyment on winding rural roads.
