Launched: Maserati MC20 Cielo – From RM1.228 Million*

The Maserati MC20 Cielo convertible supercar has finally arrived in Malaysia!
Naza Italia (Maserati Malaysia) has expanded its supercar lineup today by welcoming the much-anticipated Maserati MC20 Cielo. This convertible twin of the marque’s flagship supercar model arrives in a single variant, where it is offered with a slew of bespoke options for customers to choose from.

As the spiritual successor to the iconic Maserati MC12, the MC20 Cielo is powered by the marque’s proprietary 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 ‘Nettuno’ mill that outputs 630 HP and 730 NM. Mated to an 8-speed DCT gearbox, this super-convertible is capable of despatching from nought to 100 KM/H in only 3 seconds, en route to its V-max of over 320 KM/H.
Underpinning a carbon fibre monocoque, the MC20 Cielo tipped the scale at only 1,540 KG – which is only 65 KG more than the Coupe model, in spite of housing the extra convertible roof. Aside from that, the Cielo also comes with beefy stopping power, courtesy of the six-piston front and four-piston rear braking system.

Touted as the spiritual successor to the iconic Maserati MC12, the MC20 Cielo boasts a similar design to its Coupe twin, albeit with the addition of a hardtop convertible roof. Up front, the MC20 gets a similar-looking front face as the MC12, featuring a prominent front grille with the marque’s signature trident placed at the front. Should you want your MC20 to look snazzier, there’s the optional Fuoriserie customisation programme that adds a slew of new optional features, including few new body colours, special aero kit, liveries and decals, wheel options, and many more.

The MC20 Cielo's top-down roof can be deployed in 12 seconds, operatable at speed up to 50 KM/H
Maserati claims that the convertible roof takes only 12 seconds to be fully deployed, and drivers can operate them at a maximum driving speed of 50 KM/H. Aside from that, the convertible roof top is made of unique electrochromic glass that uses advanced Polymer-Dispersed Liquid Crystal (PDLC) technology, where users can adjust the dimness of the glass roof by using the dedicated control inside. Unfortunately, the addition of this convertible roof means that the MC20 Cielo does not get the transparent engine bay window we saw on its Coupe twin.

On board, the MC20 Cielo boasts a pretty livable cabin, even for a supercar standard. Upon entering the car, drivers and passengers will be greeted by the stylish butterfly-style door opening, before being cocooned in pretty comfy Sabelt semi-bucket seats with power adjustments, wrapped in plush Alcantara upholstery. And of course, more upholstery options are available via the aforementioned Fuoriserie bespoke programme.

Aside from that, the MC20 Cielo cabin is also laced with a slew of tech amenities like a fully-digital instrument cluster, a sizable central infotainment display powered by Maserati Intelligent Assistant Multimedia system with 360-degree camera view, as well as a 12-speaker Sonus Faber premium audio system.

Proudly assembled at Maserati's production facility in Modena, Italy, the all-new Maserati MC20 Cielo is now open for booking, with prices starting from RM1.228 million, excluding duties, taxes and options. For that price, you’ll get a standard 3-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty, on top of a complimentary 3-year or 60,000 KM free maintenance service program – both provided by Naza Italia.
