Launched: 2024 Maserati GranTurismo – 2 Variants, Up to 550 HP, From RM738K*

Naza Italia debuts the new, second-gen 2024 Maserati GranTurismo today, featuring two variants.
Naza Italia (Maserati Malaysia) has welcomed the arrival of the new 2024 Maserati GranTurismo, marking the return of the marque’s icon to our Malaysian market. Available in two variants, namely Modena and Trofeo, the second-gen (M189) GranTurismo features a whole new revamped look while retaining its GT heritage, which started more than 75 years ago.

Both the GranTurismo Modena (left) & Trofeo (right) are powered by the signature V6 Nettuno engine.
Both the GranTurismo Modena and Trofeo source their power from Maserati’s signature 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 ‘Nettuno’ engine, which delivers 490 HP and 600 NM on the former and 550 HP and 650 NM on the latter top-spec variant. Both engines are mated to the same 8-speed automatic gearbox that helps to send power to all four wheels (AWD), allowing the Modena version to accelerate from 0 to 100 KM/H in 3.9 seconds, en route to its 302 KM/H top speed.
Meanwhile, the souped-up GranTurismo Trofeo boasts a fastest century sprint time of only 3.5 seconds, while its V-Max is also capped higher at 320 KM/H.

Helping the powerful GranTurismo stop on the dime is its stellar Brembo-sourced brake setup, featuring six-piston units for the front axle, while the rear ones get a four-pot unit instead—all mated to ventilated discs. This brake setup enables the GranTurismo to have a decent 100-0 KM/H stopping distance of less than 35 metres.
Elsewhere on the mechanical side, the new GranTurismo underpins Maserati’s new Atlantis High electrical/electronic architecture, which sees a liberal use of multiple lightweight materials like aluminium and magnesium to deliver best-in-class weight levels.

From an aesthetic point of view, the new GranTurismo retains its nameplate’s signature GT silhouette, formed by the long hood up front, compact cabin mid-section, short rear end, and low ride height. Also special is the new “Cofango” unified design part, which sees the hood and the front fenders combined to form a single element.
Besides that, the new GT model also gains a familiar front face featuring MC20-esque vertical LED headlights that flank its sizable front grille that houses its iconic trident emblem. Both variants of the GranTurismo ride on a staggered set of 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels, featuring a stylish multi-spoke design.

On board, the new GranTurismo exudes a perfect blend of luxury, sportiness, and hi-tech. On the latter front, this GT cabin comes standard with Maserati’s new Intelligent Assistant (MIA) multimedia system, which powers both its infotainment and digital instrument cluster while being hooked up to its stellar Sonus Faber audio system.

Aptly, you can also upgrade the standard, 14-speaker 860 W-rated unit to the High Premium audio system, featuring no less than 19 speakers with 2D and 3D surround sound, plus a powerful 1,195 W power. Other optional equipment offered here includes the head-up display (HUD) as well as a slew of styling options offered by Maserati’s signature Fuoriserie bespoke arm.

The two ICE variants of the 2024 Maserati GranTurismo will be joined by a third, all-electric Folgore version later this year.
Now available for order, the all-new, second-gen Maserati GranTurismo starts at RM738,800 for the Modena trim, while the range-topping Trofeo variant is tagged higher at RM878,800; both prices are exclusive of duties, taxes, and options. Besides the two variants, Naza Italia is also planning to bring in the all-electric Folgore version of the new GranTurismo, which is set to make its landfall some time later in Q4 this year.

Besides the Trofeo and Modena, the all-electric GranTurismo Folgore will also arrive in Malaysia!
As for now, Naza Italia has yet to reveal any details regarding its EV GT model, although we can somewhat predict the Folgore to be priced cheaper than its ICE-powered twins, considering the ongoing tax exemption for EVs garnered by the government.
We can expect to learn more about the arrival of the new GranTurismo Folgore in the weeks to come. In the meantime, be sure to stay tuned here at Caricarz.com or follow Maserati Malaysia’s official Facebook and Instagram pages to stay updated on anything new from Maserati.
