Launched: Upgraded 2023 Mazda 3 – 3 Trimlines, From RM156,059 Onwards

The 2023 Mazda 3 has been refreshed in its newest 2023MY guise. Both sedan and hatch options are available across three trimlines.
Following our previous report, authorised Mazda brand distributors Bermaz Motor have officially announced the availability of the refreshed 2023 model year Mazda 3 range for the local market. The model continues to see both sedan and hatchback options available across three trimlines.
The booted sedan version of the Mazda 3 comes in base 2.0 High and mid-spec 2.0 High Plus guises, whilst the arguably prettier hatchback version can be had in either mid-spec 2.0 High Plus or range-topping 2.0 Ignite Edition guises. All also continue to be fully imported (CBU) offerings.

All variants continue to harness the same 2.0-litre Skyactiv-G 4-cyl petrol heart with 162 HP and 213 NM. Drive goes to the front wheels via a 6-speed Skyactiv-Drive Automatic box.
All share the same 2.0-litre Skyactiv-G 4-cyl petrol hearts that drive the front wheels via a 6-speed Skyactiv-Drive automatic box with 162 HP and 213 NM. As for claimed fuel economy ratings, the sedans see a 6.2 litres/100 KM figure touted whilst its un-booted hatch twins boast a slightly higher 6.3 litres/100 KM.
As noted prior, the aesthetic changes are minute to say the least. Key changes have occurred on board, specifically with the features primed. Key changes here include the switch to USB-C charging ports, larger new 10.25-inch infotainment display, and a wireless charger added from the High Plus guise onwards.

New across the board is this 10-.25-inch infotainment display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The latter is available wirelessly upwards from the 2.0 High Plus guise.
Both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity are present, the latter boosted with wireless connectivity available in the 2.0 High Plus onwards too. Also new in the 2.0 High and 2.0 High Plus guises are additional active driver assist (ADAS) features, namely Cruising & Traffic Support (CTS).
Shared across all variants are things like 10-way power-adjustable driver seat with memory function, dual-zone automatic climate control with rear vents, black leather upholstery, full-colour heads-up display (HUD), as well as full-LED forward and rear lights from the High Plus variants onwards.

Exclusive to the 2.0 Ignite Edition are things like a 12-speaker Bose audio suite, Burgundy leather upholstery, 360-degree parking monitor, as added FCTA and DAA with Driver Monitoring for it ADAS package.
The range-topping 2.0 Ignite Edition hatch stands apart thanks to its inclusion of a 12-speaker Bose audio suite, exclusive burgundy leather upholstery, 360-degree parking monitor, as well as Front Cross Traffic Alert (FCTA) and Driver Attention Alert (DAA) with Driver Monitoring features added into its ADAS package.

As for prices, the figures read between RM156,059 and RM175,059, depending on variant.
Available in seven paint scheme choices, the 2023 Mazda 3 is priced from RM156,059 in 2.0 High Sedan form, from RM166,059 in both 2.0 High Plus sedan and 2.0 High Plus Hatchback forms, and from RM175,059 for the range-topping 2.0 Ignite Edition hatch.
All prices include Bermaz’s usual 5-year or 100,000 KM warranty and free maintenance package. Orders can now be placed through authorised Mazda showrooms and dealers nationwide.
Additionally, this updated 2023MY model will also be displayed from 10AM to 10PM at the Bermaz Auto Showcase taking place at the Oval Concourse of 1 Utama Shopping Centre from 11 Oct until 15 Oct.
