Inaugural E-Mobility Asia Showcase Kicks-Off Today at KLCC
The inaugural E-Mobility Asia exhibition is kicking-off from Nov 22 to 24 at KL Convention Centre
The inaugural E-Mobility Asia (EMA) showcase is officially opening its doors today, bringing new electrification technologies and thought leaders to accelerate the growth of green transport for a clean future.
Taking place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) from Nov 22 to 24, this three-day event features a trade exhibition and two conferences by strategic partners – Electric Vehicle Association of Malaysia (EVAM) and the Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii).
MITI minister YB Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz officiated the opening of the EMA exhibition
Officiated by the Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) YB Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz, the EMA showcase is co-located with the inaugural Sustainability Environment Asia (SEA) trade show, where 100 local and foreign exhibitors are expected to welcome over 12,000 attendees.
Starting off with the exhibitions, the EMA showcase hosts several key local EV industry players like Eclimo Sdn Bhd and its partners – Denso Malaysia Sdn Bhd, RAP SEV, SP Metal Components Sdn Bhd, Power Steel & Electro-Plating Works Sdn Bhd and Swift Bridge Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd.
Several international EV-related firms and industry players are also participating in the EMA exhibition
Among the international exhibitors camped out at EMA are Nihon Denkei from Japan (EV testing solutions), Nextem E-Mobility from Singapore (commercial e-truck), CAM (Sendok Group) (e-Van), Betamek Electronics (automotive electronic product), and many more.
Moving to the conferences, a total of ten sessions spread across two days will be held at the EMA, featuring 30 renowned speakers from the ASEAN region and other Asian countries like Hong Kong, South Korea, and India. The EMA Conference will be held alongside the main exhibition from Nov 22 to 23, featuring various topics such as enabling mass scale EV two-wheelers in ASEAN, unlocking electrification in commercial truck transport, the safety and environmental impact of charging infrastructure, among others.
Closing-off all of the EMA conference is the final day-long conference held by MARii. Titled ‘The Malaysia EV 2023 Ecosystem Skills Conference: Enhancing Talent Through TVET’, this final conference will be held on the last day of the EMA on Nov 24, with free admission for all participants.
Supporting EVAM and MARii in putting up the EMA exhibition are several key international partners like their regional counterparts from Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand, as well as the Asian Federation of Electric Vehicle Associations (AFEVA).
Apart from those international associations, the EMA is also backed by several local companies and associations like Maxis Malaysia, ESG Association of Malaysia (ESGAM), Selangor and Federal Territory Engineering and Motor Parts Traders Association (EMPTA), The Electrical and Electronics Association of Malaysia (TEEAM), and Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (MTDC).
“This is a good time to learn about the industry as well as the potential growth and trend, especially for SMEs, in terms of components and batteries and how they can fit into the supply chain. There is a lot to learn from production to after-sales services, safety, from the hardware to the software,” said Dato’ Dennis Chuah, president of EVAM.
The inaugural E-Mobility Asia showcase is set to take place from Nov 22 to 24, happening at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. For more information regarding the EMA exhibition and EVAM, you can visit E-Mobility Asia’s official website.
