Millenium Welt And Gentari Set To Build KL’s First 'EV Charging Flagship Store'

Together with partners Gentari, leading BMW, BMW Motorrad and MINI dealer Millennium Welt broke ground for its upcoming new 'EV Charging Flagship Store'.
Leading BMW, MINI, and BMW Motorrad dealer Millennium Welt has teamed up with leading clean energy solutions provider Gentari Malaysia. Together, both firms are set to establish the first ‘EV Charging Flagship Store’ of its kind in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
Set to be built along Jalan Kuching, a groundbreaking ceremony was held earlier this week for it. Present here were BMW Group’s Senior VP of Sales Regions Asia-Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa Jean-Phillipe Parain; Millennium Welt’s MD Bryan Wong, and Deputy CEO of Gentari Shah Yang Razali.
“Based on the concept of an EV charging store, the facility enables the charging of multiple vehicles at a single time with a specialised store representing the brands from the BMW Group,” said BMW Group’s Jean-Phillipe Parain in his press statement issued shortly after the groundbreaking ceremony.

This new 'EV Charging Flagship' store is set to house a showroom space featuring up to 66 cutting-edge EV models.
According to Millennium Welt, this upcoming EV charging flagship store, which is also the first of its kind in the region, will host an extensive display area for up to 66 cutting-edge EV models. It will also seamlessly integrate both the BMW Premium Selection showroom section and a Insurance Renewal Business service.
The store promises to elevate the premium customer experience through the adoption of state-of-the-art EV charging facilities housed within its premise. Include here are up to six 240 kW DC chargers plus a pair (two) of 22 kW AC chargers, both serving across 14 dedicated parking bays.

Example of a Gentari DC fast-charger. As partners in this new outlet, the local clean energy solutions firm is set to supply up to six of its 240 kW DC charging units plus two 22 kW AC chargers too.
Crucially, this flagship store’s EV charging infrastructure is set to completely harness renewable energy sources as a means to showcase a holistic approach towards sustainable luxury. Beyond charging point deployment, Gentari Deputy CEO Shah Yang Razali adds that the effort also introduces “a vibrant experience hub for the enjoyment of our customers while they charge.”
Millennium Welt adds that visiting customers can also bask in the store’s Retail.Next ambience by BMW that’s designed to exude the premium ownership experience of any electrified products offered by the Bavarian group’s core brands – BMW, MINI, and BMW Motorrad.

The first BMW Retail.Next concept showroom opened by Millennium Welt in Seremban earlier this year. Expect this upcoming 'EV Charging Flagship Store' to boast similar aesthetics.
Furthermore, Millennium Welt has put forth a guarantee towards delivering personalised and seamless customer experience through the store’s dedicated staff. Their duties include guiding customers through all of store’s offerings, and ensure every interaction is marked by sophistication and excellence.
“At Millennium Welt, we believe that electrification goes beyond a choice, it is a lifestyle,” added Millennium Welt MD Bryan Wong.
