Park N Ride Facilities At Ampang & Gombak LRT Station Now Uses ‘Pay & Go App’ Parking Payment
RapidKL has shared on its official Twitter page stating that Park & Ride facilities at Ampang and Gombak LRT Station will now utilise an automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system. Therefore, starting April 1, Park & Ride users may download the Pay & Go app to make parking payments which is made available for iOS and Android devices as well.
As another option, users also can pay using cashless payments through syncing with their preferred e-wallet service provider like Touch 'n Go, Grab Pay, Boost or even credit or debit cards.
With this new system implemented, it operates similarly to Sunway Smart Parking or Kiple Park which requires users to no longer be needing a parking ticket whilst payments can be made online using their smartphones.
These stations consist of a covered multi-storey parking facility and open air parking space including several levels facilitated with motorcycle parking bays as well. Rapid KL claims to have a total of 1,260 parking bays at the Gombak Park & Ride, while the Ampang facility offers 1,140 parking bays.
A quick look at Pay & Go website reveals that this Malaysian tech company provides convenient payment for various kiosk payments and smart city solutions too.
