Launched: Lokatag Pro – All-in-one Toll Reader And Dashcam – From RM1,799

Introduced recently is the Lokatag Pro - an all-in-one toll card reader and dashcam with added built-in connectivity functions.
If you’re the type of driver who likes to keep a clutter-free dashboard, then perhaps the newly launched Lokatag Pro device is built for you. Said device was introduced late last week by creators Lokatag – a wholly-owned subsdiary of Amtel Digital Sdn Bhd.
Essentially, the Lokatag Pro is an all-in-one toll reader and dashcam device that mounts neatly onto your vehicle’s windscreen. Whilst Lokatag is already renowned for creating a device solely for the former task, this latest creation stands out for its integration of the latter function and more.
Building upon the functionality of the base Lokatag device, the new Lokatag Pro unit is presented as a built-in toll card reader with added connectivity functions plus an integrated dashcam, which parent firm Amtel says is the first of its kind to hit the local Malaysian market.

Much of the Lokatag Pro's connectivity functions are driven by the Loka App.
At the base of the device is the is an infrared scanner tech sourced from Efkon that supports both traditional and new NFC-enabled Touch ‘n Go cards. This alone sees the Lokatag Pro continue to offer the same basic functionality of accessing the SmartTAG lanes at highway toll plazas.
Lokatag Pro further adds GPS tracking, real-time alerts, cloud remote control access, as well as over-the-air (OTA) updates through the Loka App, which enables tracking of passage through SmartTAG lanes, including toll fares paid.
Included in the Lokatag Pro too is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) voice prompt feature, which offers real-time updates on Touch ‘n Go card balance across several selectable languages – namely Bahasa Melayu, English, and Mandarin.

The Lokatag Pro device is now open for pre-orders priced at RM1,799 each. Pre-orders can be made online via Lokatag's official website and official Shopee e-store. See details below.
Besides all that and the added dashcam function, Lokatag Pro also has built-in sensors and a monitoring system capable of geo-tagging locations where incidents are detected. This is nifty for evidence collection purposes, as well as alerting users of suspicious activities near the vehicle.
With initial deliveries slated to start from March onwards, the Lokatag Pro device is now open for pre-orders now via its official website and official Shopee e-store priced at RM1,799 each. Regular over-the-counter retail is also set to begin in March through authorised dealers.
