PDRM Will Carry Out Op Lancar In Five Districts From February 8 To 13
In conjunction with the Chinese New Year, PDRM will implement Op Lancar in several locations across five districts in Selangor beginning this Thursday until February 13. According to Selangor Police Chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan, all districts involved are Gombak, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Serdang, and North Klang, with the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway at the Gombak Toll Plaza, Kuala Lumpur-Ipoh Road at Kilometer 30, Klang-Teluk Intan Road, Kuala Selangor Town to Tanjung Karang, and Kuala Selangor-Rawang Road.
He also mentioned the Kuala Lumpur-Ipoh and Klang-Teluk Intan roads in Pekan Kapar, as well as the Sungai Besi Toll Plaza in Serdang.
"Over the course of six days, 11 speed limit trap operations and five Op Lancar locations will be carried out by 432 members and 61 senior officers to guarantee smooth traffic flow.
"... it is the responsibility of road users to ensure vehicles are in good condition, be tolerant, do not use mobile phones, and obey traffic laws," he stated.
Hussein said that during the operation, every member of the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) team—including drone units, helicopter assets, 42 cars, and 89 motorcycles—will be used to monitor the locations of traffic congestion.
The public can call the Bukit Aman Traffic Operations Room at 03-2266 3356, the Selangor Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department hotline at 03-5510 0559, or the CCC Selangor hotline at 03-5514 5206.
