Aston Martin DBX Goes 707-Only for the 2025MY Update
Aston Martin has updated the DBX for the 2025 model year, now only available in the top-spec 707 guise.
Aston Martin has updated the DBX for the 2025 model year (2025MY), with the super-SUV model featuring updated equipment. The big news, however, is in the car’s lineup, as the DBX is now offered exclusively in the top-spec 707 guise.
With both the standard DBX V8 and the China-only DBX mild hybrid (MHEV) dropped from the lineup, this means that all the 2025MY DBX will get the peppy 707’s powertrain setup, comprising an AMG-based 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that outputs 697 HP and 900 NM. Mated to a nine-speed wet clutch automatic transmission, this super-SUV can blast from nought to 100 KM/H in just 3.5 seconds.
While its powertrain remains unchanged, AM has recalibrated the DBX707’s electronic dampers and air suspensions to make it more responsive, promising better handling performance.
Moving on to the visuals, the 2025MY DBX gets very minimal design changes on the exterior, with the SUV now getting hidden door handles and new side mirrors. Also new is the DBX’s colour option, with five new shades now available – Epsilon Black, Helios Yellow, Sprint Green, Malachite Green, and Aura Green. On top of that, the DBX707 AMR 23 Edition’s exclusive Podium Green will also be available.
The 2025MY DBX gets a host of new and updated equipment inside the cabin, including the new touch infotainment display.
Besides the low-spec variant drop, perhaps the biggest update garnered to the 2025MY DBX happens inside its cabin, with the SUV now getting a whole new makeover inspired by both the new Vantage and DB12. Key highlights include the new 10.25-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a larger 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster hiding behind the new steering wheel, a new front dash layout, and many more.
Aston will offer three trim specs for the updated DBX707, namely Inspire Sport, Inspire Comfort, and bespoke Q creations. Elsewhere, the updated DBX also comes with a 14-speaker, 800-watt audio system as standard, which can be upgraded to a 23-speaker, 1,600-watt system by Bowers & Wilkins.
Set to enter production in Q2 this year, the 2025MY Aston Martin DBX707 is slated to begin deliveries later in Q3. As of now, Aston Martin has yet to release the price of this updated SUV model, but we can expect it to fetch more than the current DBX707, with said model currently retails for RM1.1 million in Malaysia, exclusive of duties and tax.
