GWM Ora 07 EV Price Announced – From RM169,800

The all-new GWM Ora 07 EV has officially launched today, with prices starting from RM169,800.
Following a lengthy teaser and preview campaign, the much-anticipated GWM Ora 07 EV has now been officially launched in Malaysia. This EV fastback saloon is available in two variants for our market, namely the baseline Long Range and the top-spec Performance.

A quick walkthrough to the Ora 07’s specs, the baseline Long Range variant employs a single, front-driven (FWD) electric motor setup rated at 204 PS (150 kW) and 340 NM. Juiced by an 83.49-kWh LFP battery unit, the Ora 07 LR boasts a claimed NEDC range of 640 KM.

Aside from its zippy century sprint time, the Ora 07 Performance also comes with sportier Michelin Pilot Sport EV tyre shod in its 19-inch wheels.
Meanwhile, the top-spec Performance model gets a peppier dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) setup with a total system output of 408 PS (300 kW) and 680 NM, allowing a 0-100 KM/H sprint finish in a decent 4.3 seconds, plus a capped V-max of 180 KM/H. Using the same LFP pack as the LR model, the Ora 07 Performance gets a slightly discounted maximum range figure of 550 KM (NEDC).
On the charging front, both the Ora 07 variants support DCFC at up to 88 kW, while the AC figure is capped at only 11 kW. Elsewhere, the Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function is also present here, delivering up to 3.3 kW of energy to any small electrical appliances.

Visually, the Ora 07 stood out as the most striking one amongst its Chinese rivals, featuring a unique fastback saloon body style with retro-futuristic design cues inspired by a certain continental brand. Key exterior highlights include rounded LED headlights with oval-shaped LED taillights to match, an adaptive rear spoiler, flushed door handles, as well as both 18- and 19-inch wheels.
More importantly, the Ora 07’s quirky body style serves more than its aesthetic duty, as it garners the EV saloon with a decent drag coefficient rate of 0.22 Cd.

On board, the Ora 07 comes brimmed with the latest cabin equipment, as expected in any modern Chinese EV nowadays. Key pieces of equipment present here include a 12.3-inch infotainment system with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a smaller 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, leather-wrapped seats with massage function for the front ones, a full panoramic glass roof, a wireless charging pad, as well as an 11-speaker premium sound system by Infinity.

Priced from RM169,800, the GWM Ora 07 EV currently stood as the cheapest model compared to its local rivals.
Poised to go against the likes of other midsize EV saloons like the BYD Seal and Tesla Model 3, the all-new GWM Ora 07 starts from RM169,800 for the baseline Long Range model, while the top-spec Performance model is tagged higher at RM189,800.

Included with said prices are the standard 6-year or 150,000 KM vehicle warranty, along with an 8-year or 180,000 KM warranty for its EV components and a 12-year rust-free warranty for the car’s body. During the stipulated EV component warranty period, GWM Malaysia will offer a 1-to-1 free battery replacement if your battery’s state-of-health falls below 70%.
On top of the standard warranties mentioned above, the first 500 customers who book the Ora 07 will receive an exclusive early bird package comprising a free wallbox charger plus an extended 8-year or 180,000 KM vehicle warranty.
