MAM Malaysia Festival of Speed 2024 Debuts Next Month
MAM president Tan Sri Mokhzani Mahathir officially announcing and launching the association's inaugural MAM Malaysia Festival of Speed 2024 carnival yesterday in Petronas SIC.
The Motorsports Association of Malaysia (MAM) announced this week that it will organise and host its first MAM Malaysia Festival of Speed (FOS) motorsports carnival starting next month.
This carnival’s inaugural running will be held at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit (SIC) from Oct 18 to Oct 20. Co-organising it with MAM are both the Ministry of Youth & Sports (KBS) and event venue hosts Petronas SIC.
The MAM Malaysia FOS 2024 carnival is poised to provide a platform for novice competitors to display their skills and compete alongside seasoned competitors, with each discipline divided into various categories and age groups to promote inclusivity.
“This festival is not just about competition; it’s about fostering a love for motorsports and making it more accessible to a wider audience,” adds MAM president Tan Sri Mokhzani Mahathir after officially revealing and launching the carnival yesterday in Petronas SIC.
Amongst the motorsports discipline set to headline the MAM Malaysia FOS 2024 include Karting, Rally, car and motorcycle Gymkhana, as well as Pocket Bike racing.
Amongst the events set to be hosted through the MAM Malaysia FOS 2024 include both Sprint and Slalom Karting challenges, Rally racing, both car and motorcycle Gymkhana, Pocket Bike racing, as well as an E-Sports competition.
These aside, the MAM Malaysia FOS 2024 will also include a Push Bike demo, which is aimed at showcasing the growing appeal of non-motorised sports amongst local enthusiasts.
MAM is poised to welcome participants from both Malaysia and abroad competing in a range of exciting motorsport disciplines. However, both the Pocket Bike and Moto Gymkhana categories will be exclusively opened to local Malaysian competitors only.
Following yesterday’s announcement and launch, more details plus registration methods will be announced via MAM’s official website, as well as its social media pages (Facebook and Instagram), in the coming weeks leading up to the carnival’s running dates.
