PLUS has announced the Aidiladha Travel Time Advisory (TTA) from June 13 to 18, 2024. However this time around it has gone all digital. Therefore PLUS Highway users are advised to download the PLUS App to register their journeys and obtain the digital MyPLUS-TTA schedule.

This digital initiative is aimed at assisting the public in planning and selecting the best travel times during festive seasons by distributing traffic based on data and travel patterns from previous festive seasons.

Besides that, in order to better manage and reduce congestion, PLUS will activate Smart Lanes at 18 traffic hotspots on the highway to facilitate smoother traffic flow at critical locations. When the Smart Lane is activated, the existing emergency lane is opened as an additional lane to optimise the use of all lanes and increase lane capacity at critical points on the highway.

The public can identify the Smart Lane through the installation of Green Flashing Lights indicating that the Smart Lane is active and usable at specific locations. PLUS had also placed notification and reminder signs at Smart Lane locations involved.

The Smart Lanes can be used by small light passenger vehicles and are advised not to exceed 60 KM/H speed. However, highway users are strictly prohibited from driving in the emergency lane at locations where the Smart Lane is not activated.

The Smart Lanes would be activated at different duration and times depending on the previous traffic data collected starting from June 14 to 18, 2024.  Highway users are advised to download and use the PLUS App, Waze, or Google Maps to plan their journeys and obtain travel plans during the festive season.
