The Aston Martin Valiant Is Track-Ready Manual V12 Hypercar Dreamt Up By Fernando Alonso

Based on the Valour, the new Aston Martin Valiant is a more extreme redux dreamt up by F1 ace Fernando Alonso.
Two-time F1 world champion and two-time Le Mans 24 Hours winner Fernando Alonso almost – ALMOST – has it all as an accomplished racing driver. Aside from said double crown, the 42-year-old Spanish racing ace can now boast that he’s build the ultimate trackday hypercar too. Well, sort of…
Revealed earlier this week, the new Aston Martin Valiant was reportedly borne out of a brief issued by Alonso himself to the Gaydon-based supercars marque, for whom he currently races for in F1, and will do so until 2025 at least, and maybe 2026 as well.

"Valiant in born from my passion for driving at the limit," says Fernando Alonso.
Until then, it’s evident that both Aston Martin and Alonso are making full use of each other, and the Valiant is perhaps the perfect expression of this relationship. Apart from Alonso’s own commission, a total of 38 units of the Valiant will be built by the Q by Aston Martin division.
According to Aston Martin, Alonso’s brief was simple in that he wanted a “more extreme, racecar-inspired version” of the Valour. In turn, this prompted Aston Martin to pour its engineering might and focus on adding both power and downforce whilst reducing weight too.

One key feature of the Valiant is it's exquisite 6-speed manual transmission featuring exposed linkages. Said box is paired with a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 heart producing a whopping 735 HP and 753 NM,/
Like the Valour, the Valiant shares the same 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 heart, but it’s been fettled to generate a higher 735 HP of peak power – roughly 30 HP than the now seemingly ‘tamer’ Valour. Torque, however, remains at 753 NM in this track-honed special.
Crucially, like the Valour, the mill is paired exclusively with a 6-speed manual box and rear-wheel-drive (RWD) setup. Aston Martin didn’t disclose official performance stats, but expect the Valiant to better the Valour’s claimed 0-100 KM/H sprint time of 3.4 secs and 322 KM/H V-max.
The extra speed stems from the Valiant’s lighter weight thanks to bits like its 3D-printed rear subframe, magnesium torque tube, lithium-ion battery, and superlight 21-inch magnesium wheels boasting 275/35 (front) and 325/30 (rear) profile sections.

Much of the bodywork is constructed from lightweight carbon fibre and features extreme aerodynamic additions promising enhanced downforce levels.
Aston Martin didn’t disclose an exact weight figure, but the entire weight-saving exercise sees the Valiant’s shedding around 100 KG from the Valour it underpins. Addinng to this too is the fact that much of the Valiant’s bodywork is sculpted from lightweight carbon fibre.
The added visual aggression isn’t all just for show. In fact, Aston Martin touts that the new carbon fibre splitter, multi-layer planes near the front wheels, F1-inspired side skirts, new rear diffuser, and the massive fixed rear wing, all enhances the Valiant’s downforce levels over the Valour.
Unsurprisingly, as a track-honed beast, Aston Martin also paid extra attention to the chassis. Enhanced handling abilities stem firstly from the Valiant’s adoption of Multimatic Adaptive Spool Valve dampers that can adjust to one of 32 damper curves in under six milliseconds.
Next comes the massive 410 MM (front) and 360 MM (rear) carbon ceramic brake rotors primed as standard, offering immense stopping power to match. The Sport, Sport+ and Track driving modes have also bee recalibrated to offer even sharper drive dynamics too.

Including Alonso's own commission, just 38 units of the Aston Martin Valiant will be built by the Q by Aston Martin division.
On board, the Valiant ups the ante from the Valour through additions such as a half roll cage, Recaro Podium bucket seats with four-point race harnesses, Aston Martin signature three-spoke rounded-bottom steering wheel, as well as bespoke door panels that are lighter than the Valour’s.
“Valiant is born from my passion for driving at the limit, and I believe we have created a masterpiece,” said Alonso who is clearly pleased with the end result.
And just like the Valour, each of planned 38 units of the Aston Martin Valiant wont be cheap, each commanding roughly £2 million (approx. RM11.94 million).
