Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup Malaysia 2024 Revs Up This Month

The Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup Malaysia 2024 takes place starting this month with up to RM120,500 is cash prizes up for grabs.

The Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup Malaysia - formerly known as the Toyota GR Velocity eSports Championship – returns for another edition this year. With up to RM120,500 in cash prizes up for grabs, the e-sports tournament’s seventh season kicks off starting this month.

With an average of 1,000 competitors signing up per season, Malaysia’s only premier Gran Turismo-based online racing series supported by Toyota (UMW Toyota Motor) since 2018 has successfully attracted over 3 million online views too.

This year’s running kicks off with online Qualifiers running from June 22 to June 30. From which, just 40 of the fastest sim racers will be selected to compete in the Grand Finals that will be held on July 27 and 28 at Sunway University.

The two-day finale will see the top 20 racers in the Quarter-Final stage advancing automatically into the Semi-Final stage. Just 10 will advance from the latter into the Finals stage where a champion will be crowned.

Moreover, the top three winners from this year’s edition of the Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup Malaysia will once again represent Malaysia in the regional competition where they will compete for a spot in the World Finals.

Besides this, UMW Toyota Motor also announced that the Season 7 Toyota Gazoo Racing roving truck returns for another tour this year. It will be making stops at eight universities in Peninsular Malaysia, those being:
