DC Handal 200 kW DCFC At MATRADE Now Operational - RM1.30/kWh

The next time you're in the Mont Kiara or Jalan Duta area and in need of a quick charge, there’s now a 200kW DCFC station conveniently located at the MATRADE building operated by DC Handal.
This DC Handal MATRADE facility is located on the West Wing of the building along Jalan Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah. The station is powered by two 200 kW DCFCs, one from Kempower and the other from Autel MaxiCharge. Each is equipped with two CCS2 nozzles to serve four EV Charging Bays (EVCBs).

This latest facility marks DC Handal's first excursion inside a government-owned structure. A quick check on Plugshare reveals that this facility has the highest output DCFC in the area. This is good news indeed given that it is serving an area and district with a high concentration of EV owners and users residing in nearby luxury high-rises.

From our observation, the only downside of this facility is that it is not opened 24 hours a day because it is located in a government building. In turn, this station only operates from 6 AM to 10 PM daily - weekends included.

Both the DC Handal Kempower and Autel DCFC boast dynamic output modulation that’s dependent on the EV's state of charge (SOC). EVs with lower SOCs will receive more input, therefore a short top-up should get you to the next charging point while indirectly preventing charging bay hogging.
The rates levied at this DCFC station is RM1.30 per kWh. As usual, DC Handal’s stations accepts debit and credit card payments, as well as MyDebit, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and alternate virtual payments via JomCharge and ChargEV apps.
