New Porsche Macan EV Variants Debut – New Base RWD and 4S Guises Added, Priced From RM430,000

New base-spec Macan (right) and Macan 4S (left) variants debuts into second-gen Macan range.
German sportscar marque Porsche sees its new and all-electric second-generation Macan range grow with two new variants. Added to the line-up now is a new ‘base’ Macan featuring a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) setup, followed by a new Macan 4S guise.
According to Porsche, the new base Macan is primarily focused on efficiency and range, whereas the new Macan 4S slots in between the Macan 4 and Macan Turbo variants it launched initially.

The entry-level Macan variant sports a single rear-mounted e-motor driving the rear wheels with up to 355 HP and 563 NM.
Starting with the new base variant, the entry-level Macan adopts a single rear-mounted e-motor rated at 335 HP, but peak outputs rises to 355 HP and 563 NM when Overboost is engaged. This enables it to despatch 0-100 KM/H dashes in just 5.7 seconds before reaching its limited V-max of 220 KM/H.
This RWD base model also sits as the lightest variant in the range with a kerb weight that’s 110 KG lighter than the Macan 4. The weight loss is expected to maximise and extend range from its 100 kWh battery pack, with Porsche claiming up to 641 KM of maximum travel under WLTP standards.
The 800-volt Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture remains, meaning this base variant Macan can accept up to 270 kW DC fast-charging inputs, which grants 10-80% re-charges in just 21 minutes.

New Macan 4S slots in between Macan 4 and Macan Turbo variants. This one sports 442 HP and 784 NM outputs instead.
Next comes the new Macan 4S and, whilst it still dons a similar dual-motor, all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup as the Macan 4 and Macan Turbo, the 4S sits in between both with said setup’s 442 HP output. In Overboost, peak power rises to 509 HP instead, along with a meaty 784 NM torque rating too.
As for performance, Porsche touts the Macan 4S can perform the century sprint in just 4.1 seconds before hitting its governed V-max of 240 KM/H. As for range, the Stuttgart-rooted marque touts a maximum of up to 606 KM based on the WLTP cycle.
Both variants are standard-equipped with adaptive air suspension with electronically controlled dampers (PASM) and optional rear-wheel-steering (RWS). The Macan 4S specifically also boasts the Porsche Traction Management suite, whilst Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus is offered as an option.

Revealed too was a new optional Off-Road Design Package. This adds a restyled front bumper, rear diffuser, side skirt, and 20-inch wheels plus extra 10 MM clearance into the air suspension suite.
Both the new entry-level Macan and new Macan 4S variants and now open for orders whilst the initial Macan 4 and Macan Turbo variants have just marked their official entries into key European markets starting this week.
Apart from new variants, the new Macan EV also sees a new optional off-road design package available for all variants. It includes a redesigned front bumper with matching side skirt elements and diffuser, skid plates, a more rugged bodykit, along with 21-inch five-spoke alloy wheels in grey.
Critically, this new off-road design package option also brings an additional 10 MM lift for the air suspension suite mentioned, thus offering a maximum ground clearance of up to 225 MM. In turn, this also helps improve the Macan EV’s approach angle up to 17.5 degrees too.

Porsche also announced a series of new additional personalisation options plus an updated Porsche Driver Experience digital cockpit system with new graphics and animations.
Elsewhere, Porsche also announces new additional personalisation options. Included here is a new set of 20-inch Macan alloy wheels option, and a newly added Slate Grey Neo paint scheme choice.
Lastly, Porsche also updated its Porsche Driver Experience digital cockpit system with new on-screen graphics and animations. There’s also an improved Themes application that allow drivers to match the display’s background colour with and ambient lighting with the car’s exterior hue.

As for prices, the base Macan commands a starting figure of RM430,000. See more details below.
Locally, the new Porsche Macan EV will see all four variants available. Previewed initially last month, Porsche Malaysia (Sime Darby Auto Performance) also revealed the prices for all four variants earlier today:
Macan - RM430,000
Macan 4 - RM445,000
Macan 4S - RM525,000
Macan Turbo - RM635,000
Take note that these are base prices excluding options, customisation and on-road costs. Porsche Malaysia adds that deliveries are set to begin by the end of this year.
