XPeng G6 EV SUV Debuts in Singapore – Malaysia Next?
After Thailand, Singapore becomes the next ASEAN market to launch the XPeng G6 EV SUV.
After Thailand, Singapore becomes the next ASEAN market to officially launch the new XPeng G6 EV SUV. For the Island Republic market, the G6 EV arrives in two variants, namely the baseline Standard Range and the range-topping Long Range.
To no one’s surprise, the Singapore-bound G6 features the same specifications as its Thai counterpart. Underpinning the marque’s proprietary SEPA 2.0 platform with an 800-volt architecture, the baseline G6 Standard Range gets a single, rear-mounted (RWD) electric motor setup rated at 255 HP (190 kW) and 440 NM, allowing a quick 0-100 KM/H sprint finish of 6.6 seconds and a V-Max of 200 KM/H.
Meanwhile, the top-spec G6 Long Range gets a peppier RWD motor setup rated at 282 HP (210 kW) and 440 NM, which grants it a faster century sprint tome of 6.2 seconds, although its V-Max is still capped at 200 KM/H.
As for their batteries, the G6 Standard Range uses a smaller 66-kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack that supports AC 11 kW and DC 215 kW charging capabilities. In a full single charge, XPeng claims the G6 Standard Range can reach a decent WLTP range of 435 KM.
The G6 Long Range, on the other hand, benefits from a larger 87.5-kWh nickel cobalt manganese (NCM) battery pack, which offers a longer WLTP range of 570 KM. The DCFC rate is also higher for the range-topping model at 280 kW, which allows a 10-80% charge to be completed in just 20 minutes.
On the visual front, the only difference between the G6 Standard Range and Long Range variants are the wheels, with the baseline model getting the smaller 18-inch units, while the range-topping model uses the larger 20-inch ten-spoke black alloys for change. Beyond that, the two variants look identically similar, featuring a sporty SUV crossover body style with dual-stack LED headlights and full-width LED taillights.
On board, Singapore customers can expect a pretty well-equipped cabin for both the G6 variants, with standard equipment offered here including both the Qualcomm-powered 14.96-inch central infotainment screen and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. Other than that, standard amenities primed here include the wireless charging pad, an 18-speaker premium audio system, powered and ventilated front seats, and many more.
Not to forget, the XPeng G6 also comes equipped with the Xpilot 2.5 active safety suite, which utilises 12 ultrasonic sensors and 12 cameras to enable a slew of ADAS functions like Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), and many more.
The all-new XPeng G6 EV is now available for booking in Singapore, with prices starting at SGD 209,999 (RM724,990) for the Standard Range model and SGD 224,999 (RM776,775) for the top-spec Long Range model. For reference, the Thai-bound XPeng G6 is priced from THB 1.5 million (RM193,704) to THB 1.799 million (RM232,315), so we can expect the Malaysian-bound models to be priced closer to the Thais, given the Singapore units are heavily inflated by the high tax rates and the costs for the Certificate of Entitlement (CoE).

In case you missed it, the XPeng G6 EV is also slated to make its debut in our local market, where the distribution of this new Chinese EV brand will be handled by prominent local automotive group Bermaz Auto Berhad (BAuto). With the G6 already making its debut in both the key regional right-hand drive (RHD) markets, we can expect the XPeng EV to arrive here very soon…
