Chery Malaysia Rewards Olympic Bronze Medalists with 3 Tiggo 7 Pro SUVs

Chery Malaysia, staying true to its promise, today awarded each of Malaysia's three Olympic bronze medalists from the recent Paris Olympics a unit of the newly launched Chery Tiggo 7 Pro, valued at RM123,800, in recognition of their outstanding performances.

Shuttlers Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik, who competed in the Men's Doubles event, along with fellow shuttler Lee Zii Jia, who competed in the Men's Singles, were each presented with a Tiggo 7 Pro in a special handover ceremony held earlier today at the Bukit Puchong Chery dealership, Lesydear Automobile Sdn Bhd. However, Zii Jia was unable to attend due to his commitment to the ongoing Japan Open Championship.

Michael Chew, Vice President of Chery Malaysia, said, “We are honoured to present Aaron, Wooi Yik, and Zii Jia with the new Tiggo 7 Pro for their outstanding achievements at the Paris Olympics. Their grit, determination, and perseverance throughout the Games are truly inspiring, and we are proud to celebrate their success with a vehicle that mirrors these qualities.”
The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro presentation ceremony was also officiated by YB Hannah Yeoh, Minister of Youth and Sports, who took the opportunity to thank Chery for their sponsorship and belief in local athletes who competed in Paris.

She added, “It is encouraging to see private companies playing a part in motivating our athletes. We believe that sports is a unifying force for Malaysia, and we encourage the private sector to play their role in rewarding athletes when they succeed in bringing home medals. What makes Chery’s gesture special is that they are celebrating all medal winners, not just the gold medalists.”

Chew also expressed that all three recipients would find the Tiggo 7 PRO—a five-seater SUV—both enjoyable and capable of creating memorable journeys, whether commuting to training sessions or spending quality time with family and friends.
He further noted that the Chery Tiggo 7 PRO is perfectly suited for athletes, offering an exceptional blend of performance, comfort, advanced technology, and ample space for daily practicality.
