Initial Specs Of Xpeng G6 For Malaysia Leaks Online – 2 Variants, Up To 570 KM Range

The Xpeng G6 premium EV crossover is set to make landfall soon and, ahead of which, it appears initial specs for it has leaked online earlier today.
Earlier today, we caught sight of what appears to be initial specifications of the upcoming new Xpeng G6 premium EV crossover that’s set to be launched and distributed by local stalwarts Bermaz Auto (BAuto) soon via its newly established Bermaz Xpeng arm.
Though the initial leakposted by an Xpeng dealer on Facebook has been removed, the image shared below remains widely circulated on WhatsApp. Things appear legitimate to say the least, and we now know that the Bermaz plans to offer the Xpeng G6 in two variants at least.

The leaked initial specs of the Xpeng G6 EV crossover that leaked on Facebook prior and now widely circulated via WhatsApp.
A quick glance revealed that the leaked technical specs in question, though limited, appears similar to what’s offered across the causeway – Besides Thailand, the Xpeng G6 is also now on sale in neighbouring Singapore, and you can read about it by clicking these blue words.
From this leak, it appears Bermaz will similarly offer the Xpeng G6 in Malaysia in both 435 Standard and 570 Long range guises. Apart form presumable different levels of kit, both variants are set apart thanks to their differing batteries, outputs, performance and, subsequently, range. What’s shared though are the 20-inch rolling stock, and single-motor setups.

The two variants mentioned are set apart not just by differing levels of kit, but different batteries with subsequently differing performance and range too.
The ‘base’ Xpeng G6 435 Standard looks set to harness a Lithium Iron Phospate (LFP) type battery pack boasting a sizeable 66 kWh capacity. In turn, this will juice a rear-mounted e-motor driving the rear wheels with a claimed 255 HP and 440 NM outputs.
Critically, this variant promises a respectable claimed WLTP-rated range of up to 435 KM. Adding to which is its compatibility with 11 kW AC and rapid 215 kW DC charging inputs. The former sees full charges (5-100%) attained in 7 hours and 30 minutes, whilst the latter enables 10-80% re-charges in just 20 minutes instead.

In 570 Long Range form, the Xpeng G6 promises up to 570 KM (WLTP) of range plus a compatibility with ultra-fast 280 kW DC charging.
The 570 Long Range variant, on the other hand, will adopt a different but larger Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) type battery pack with an 87.5 kWh claimed capacity. This variant’s motor also offers a higher top-end with a claimed 282 HP, but torque remains unchanged at 440 NM.
Crucially, said battery is set to offer much more range – up to 570 KM (WLTP) is touted here. And besides 11 kW AC charging that sees full charges (5-100%) in 9 hours and 30 mins, this variant benefits with even faster 280 kW DC charging ability, which promises 10-80% re-charges in just 20 minutes as well.

Should things continue to mirror the Singapore-spec model mentioned, then we can also expect the Xpeng G6 to come equipped with automatic headlamps, panoramic glass sunroof, powered tailgate, tyre pressure monitoring, seven airbags, dual 50-watt wireless charging pads, an 18-speaker audio suite, automatic dual-zone climate control, as well as ventilated front seats.
Additionally, we can also expect Malaysia-bound Xpeng G6 models to continue boasting a massive 14.96-inch central infotainment touchscreen display interface offering both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, plus a matching 10.2-inch digital instrument display panel.

What remains anyone’s guess here is price, though how the Xpeng G6 is marketed in neighbouring Thailand perhaps gives us some indication to which. In the Kingdom just north of our Peninsular’s borders, the Xpeng G6 is tagged between THB1.5 million and THB1.799 million (approx. RM195,000 to RM234,000).
Effectively, the Xpeng G6 is poised to bait and woo local prospects away from things like the Tesla Model Y, which sees its local starting prices range between RM181,000 and RM242,000, depending on variant.
