Launched: Refreshed 2024 BMW M4 & 430i Coupe – From RM870,800 & RM465,800

BMW Group Malaysia announced earlier today that it has revised its local line-up by introducing the refreshed 2024 model year (2024MY) iterations of both the hot BMW M4 Competition Coupe with M xDrive and BMW 430i Coupe M Sport Pro.
Seasoned followers of CariCarz.com will remember that both revised new model year versions of the Bavarian marque’s staple coupe models were revealed globally earlier this year. Both featured a host minor cosmetic and specification upgrade all around.
“Our commitment to delivering unparalleled driving experiences to our Malaysian customers remains steadfast, whether on the open road or the racetrack,” expressed Benjamin Nagel, BMW Group Malaysia’s MD, via a press statement issued earlier today.

Starting with the second-gen (chassis code: G82) BMW M4 Competition Coupe with M xDrive, the revised 2024MY version sees a slight bump in power and performance. That’s because its signature 3.0-litre in-line 6-cyl twin-turbo heart now churns out 530 HP and 650 NM, marking a 20 HP bump from its previous 510 HP figure.
With the M xDrive all-wheel-drive (AWD) and slick 8-speed M Steptronic Sport automatic transmission it’s paired with, 0-100 KM/H sprints are now achieved in just 3.5 seconds, whilst 0-200 KM/H dashes now take just 11.8 seconds instead too.
This M-badged performance special also sees its 2024MY version gaining revised staggered 19/20-inch front/rear forged Double-spoke Style 826 M Black wheels, M Compound brake calipers dressed in high-gloss red, unique painted M graphics in either high-gloss red or black, as well as new laser taillights derived from the M4 CSL special.

On board, the changes are typical of BMW’s recent efforts revising other offerings. Key amongst which is the switch to an updated BMW Curved Display module now powered by the new BMW Operating System 8.5 suite. Also revised are several of the cabin’s aesthetic trims, and it can be decked out in a range of dual-tone Merino leather upholstery.
Orders for the revised new 2024MY BMW M4 Competition Coupe with M xDrive is now opened through authorised dealers where it commands a price tag of RM870,800 excluding the BMW Service & Repair Inclusive (BS &RI) package. The latter costs an additional RM47,800 on top of the base price mentioned.

Should the M-badged performance flagship we detailed be a little too rich for you, fret not as BMW Group Malaysia also introduced the revised 2024MY version of its less powerful but equally stylish entry-level twin in the form of the refreshed 430i Coupe M Sport Pro.
Similarly, this updated version of the second-gen (chassis code: G22) BMW sports coupe arrives locally sporting a host of minor aesthetic and specification changes inside and out. This is evident through the revised kidney grilles, adaptive LED headlights, laser taillights, staggered profile 19-inch double-spoke style 995 M wheels in jet black, and high-gloss red M Sport brake calipers.
On board, the 430i Coupe M Sport Pro also gains the updated BMW Curved Display module running off the latest BMW Operating System 8.5 suite mentioned, on top of a host of visible new trims. Additionally, the 2024MY 430i Coupe M Sport Pro’s cabin can be specified with Sensatec faux leather upholstery in either black, red or ‘Cognac’ hues.

Under the hood, the 430i Coupe M Sport Pro continues to feature a familiar 2.0-litre 4-cyl turbo petrol mill outputting 258 HP and 400 NM. Said mill is paired with both an 8-speed sport automatic box and traditional rear-wheel-drive (RWD) setup promising both respectably rapid 0-100 KM/H dashes in 5.8 seconds and thrilling drive dynamics.
The latter promise is also bolstered by the M Sport Package’s inclusion of both Adaptive M Suspension and Variable Sport Steering suites.
Should the more honest yes arguably purer RWD nature of the 2024MY BMW 430i Coupe M Sport Pro tickle your fancy better, then be prepared to part ways with RM465,800 to order one today. Said price excludes the BS & RI package noted prior, which costs an additional RM25,200 for this arguably more ‘attainable’ premium sports coupe.
