Leader Energy Adopts BMW EVs for Their Corporate Fleet

Leader Energy Group Berhad has adopted a number of BMW EVs for its new corporate fleet.
In a positive step towards more sustainable and responsible corporate mobility solutions, leading regional power firm Leader Energy Group Berhad has adopted several BMW i electric vehicles (EVs) for its new corporate fleet.
Through this newly-formed partnership with BMW Group Malaysia through one of their leading dealer partners, Wheelcorp Premium, Leader Energy’s new EV fleet will comprise some of the latest and greatest all-electric offerings from the Bavarian automaker.

Leader Energy's new BMW i EV fleet will include the BMW i5 (top), BMW iX (left), and BMW i4 (right).
The list includes the BMW i4 eDrive35 sporty coupe saloon, the new BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport mid-size EV saloon, and the BMW iX xDrive50 EV SUV. This move marks a significant first step in Leader Energy’s commitment to transitioning toward more responsible mobility solutions, with the aim of significantly reducing their company’s CO2 emissions across their operations.
Beyond these new BMW i models, Leader Energy has laid out further plans to adopt more EVs from BMW in the near future, as part of the firm’s plan to replace its existing ICE-powered vehicle fleet.

BMW Group Malaysia Director of Corporate Communications & Sustainability Sashi Ambihaipahan
“As the leading provider of premium electrified vehicles, BMW Group Malaysia is pleased to support this transformative step through our state-of-the-art BMW i models. It is our hope that this initiative becomes a catalyst for other prominent and like-minded organisations to embrace Clean Mobility practices and recognise the long-term benefits of transitioning to electric vehicles, incorporating more responsible technology in their overall business operations,” said Sashi Ambihaipahan, BMW Group Malaysia director of corporate communications and sustainability.
Besides adopting the new BMW i EV fleet, Leader Energy’s partnership with BMW Group Malaysia will also see the power company develop several fast-charging sites north and south-bound on the North-South Highway (PLUS) across Peninsula Malaysia.
