New G45 BMW X3 SUV Gets Sporty M Performance Parts

These BMW M Performance Parts for the new G45 BMW X3 give us a glimpse at the upcoming BMW X3 M.
Prior to the unveiling of the new, G45-gen BMW X3 SUV, there have been rumours suggesting that BMW might axe the sporty X3 M for its next-gen iteration. Instead of waiting for something that has yet to be confirmed, perhaps you can opt for these M Performance Parts that are now offered to the new X3.
For the new X3 SUV, the BMW M Performance Parts comprise a slew of aero parts made from carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) and high-gloss polyurethane, some of which BMW claims to provide some aerodynamic performance to the car.

Starting with the front part, there’s a new splitter finished in gloss black that matches with the dark trim present on the M Sport front bumper and the grille. Moving to the side part, the X3 also gets sporty BMW M side mirror caps, Frozen Black side decals, and a carbon fibre fuel cap. Not to forget, customers can opt for either the larger 22-inch Y-spoke light alloy wheels or the smaller 20-inch unit.

At the rear, the M Performance treatment sees the new X3 getting a sportier rear bumper with a rear diffuser, plus a prominent roof-mounted rear spoiler—the latter two are finished in a gloss black hue. Elsewhere, there’s also the carbon-hued quad tailpipes offered specially for the souped-up X3 M50 xDrive variant, making it the closest model you can get to an actual X3 M.

The M Performance treatment continues as we get inside the car, with the new X3 getting a slew of M-badged parts. This includes the M-badged door sills finished in either carbon fibre or aluminium, stainless steel foot pedals, special floor mats with contrasting stitching, several anodised aluminium buttons with a coloured M logo, and many more.

The top-spec BMW X3 M50 xDrive variant with the M Performance Parts is the closest thing we can get to an actual G45-gen X3 M, at least for now.
According to BMW, these M Performance Parts are compatible with the factory-fit bodykit of the M Sport Package and M Sport Package Pro, both of which are already offered to the G45-gen X3 since its launch. While customers can opt for these packages to any variants of the X3, we’d reckon it’ll be the best match for the top-spec X3 M50 xDrive variant, with its turbocharged 3.0-litre inline-six mild hybrid (MHEV) mill rated at 393 HP and 580 NM being the closest thing we can get to an actual X3 M.
