New Lynk & Co 02 EV Bows in Europe – Geely SEA Base, 66 kWh Battery With 445 KM Range

Geely-owned Lynk & Co unveiled its first EV offering for Europe in the form of the new Lynk & Co 02 coupe crossover pictured.
Geely-owned brand Lynk & Co unveiled a brand new model for the European market this week. Christened as the Lynk & Co 02, it stands as the marque’s first all-electric offering for the Old Continent. Concurrently, the model is set to be marketed in China as well as the Lynk & Co Z20 instead.
Billed as a crossover coupe offering, the 02 sports a sleek and aerodynamically optimised design that’s also very distinct. Key touches include a panoramic glass roof, dual-tone paint scheme, 19- and 20-inch alloy wheel options, flushed doorhandles, as well as a prominent rear spoiler.

The 02's design is best described as both sleek and familiar. The latter is driven by the fact that the 02 shares the same Geely SEA Platform base as things like the smart #1, smart #3, Zeekr X, as well as the Volvo EX30.
In terms of dimensions, the Lynk & Co 02 sits 4,460 MM long with a 2,755 MM wheelbase, 1,845 MM wide and 1,573 MM tall. For perspective, the 02 is closer in size to the Toyota Corolla Cross. However, what’s notable here is the 02’s chassis base.
Underneath its pretty metal, the Lynk & Co 02 is constructed atop of the Geely SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) platform. In turn, this sees the 02 share the same bones as the smart #1 and #3, the Volvo EX30, as well as the Zeeker X.

The 02 also packs a 66 kWh NMC-type battery pack that boasts 150 KW DC charging input ability, whilst a full-charge grants up to 445 KM.
This also perhaps explains why the 02’s powertrain setup appears familiar. Like its ‘cousins’ mentioned, the Lynk & Co 02 harnesses a familiar 66 kWh NMC-type battery pack, which accepts rapid DC charging inputs as high as 150 kW to enable 10-80% re-charges in just 30 minutes.
Said battery juices a single rear-mounted e-motor setup that drives the rear wheels with 268 HP and 343 NM, altogether enabling 0-100 KM/H in just 5.5 secs plus a capped 180 KM/H V-max. Critically, a full charge grants the 02 with a claimed range of up to 445 KM.
Like its 'cousins' the #1, #3, Zeekr X and EX30, the 02 also features a panoramic glass roof.
Besides its distinct yet familiar exterior design, the same description applies to the 02’s minimalistic and tech-rich cabin. Notable here are the “aircraft-inspired” two-tier dash design and oval steering wheel combination. Additionally, much of the interior sees a mix of recycles and translucent materials plus speckled accents.
As for tech, the bill is led by a 10.2-inch digital instrument panel matched with a massive 15.4-inch central infotainment touchscreen. Typical of Chinese-made EVs as such, much of the controls for the cabin’s tech and amenities – i.e. climate control and media playback – are housed in the latter massive display mounted front and centre.

Unique on board are the 'Journey Camera' and 'Sharing Strap'.
Notable here is the presence of a ‘Journey Camera’ feature. Through which, it lets users ““take selfies or group photos directly from the rearview mirror to capture memories during trip,” according to the marque.
Unique here too is a 'sharing strap' located next to the steering wheel. This, according to Lynk & Co, allows “gentle pull takes users straight to the sharing app … so they can start sharing their car in just a few steps.”

The Lynk & Co 02 is now opened for orders in select EU markets priced from €35,495 (RM166,559).
Again, typical of Chinese EV crossovers as such, the Lynk & Co 02 sports 21 advanced driver assistance (ADAS) features primed. It includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, and front/rear cross traffic alert. They’re joined by intelligent cruise control, auto lane change assist, blind spot detection, and traffic sign recognition, amongst many.
Now opened for orders in key European markets such as Germany, Italy, France and the Netherlands, the Lynk & Co 02 sees a reported starting price ranging between €35,495 (RM166,559) and €35,995 (RM168,905).
