New Zeekr Mix EV MPV Boasts Three Sliding Doors Up To 702 KM Range

Geely-owned Zeekr officially launched its new Mix EV MPV in China this week.
Officially launched in China this week, the new Zeekr Mix arrives into Chinese dealerships as a highly versatile and practical EV MPV that sports no less than three sliding doors plus a spacious cabin with variable seating arrangements to boot to suit any and all occasions.
Sitting 4,699 MM long with a 3,008 MM wheelbase, 1,995 MM wide and 1,775 MM tall, the Zeekr Mix is a sizeable mini-van too – it’s about the same size as the latest C28-gen Nissan Serena. What’s interesting too is the fact that the Mix is built atop of the Geely SEA Platform architecture - similar to the Zeekr X and 009.

Unlike most other MPVs (be they EV or ICE), the Zeekr Mix sports a unique and distinct capsule-like design.
In terms of design, the Zeekr Mix sports a smooth, futuristic and capsule-like look unlike any other MPV – EV or ICE alike – before. It does boasts Zeekr’s signature ‘Stargate’ front lightbar featuring over 1,960 LEDs that allow drivers to customise their lighting signature or even display messages.
The party tricks with the Zeekr Mix starts with its doors as it is equipped with no less than three sliding doors – two on kerb (right) side and one on the driver (left) side. The only ‘regular’ openings here are both the driver’s door and a rear hatch.

Altogether, the Zeekr Mix sports three sliding doors including a world-first dual-sliding doors setup on the passenger side.
The sliding doors themselves aren’t just neat, the passenger side’s dual sliding doors are a world-first design feature. This was enable by mounting them on large cantilever hinges that eliminate the need for traditional sliding door tracks as seen in other regular MPVs.
Sliding doors aside, easier cabin entry and egress also stems from the absence of traditional B-pillars. Instead, support comes from dual pillars on each side that are integrated into the doors that are made from 2,000 mPa hot-formed steel and strengthened via a unique thickening process.

Up front, the Zeekr Mix adopts an asymmetrical dashboard design. Housed within is a massive 15-inch floating touchscreen infotainment that can swivel, plus a 13-inch digital instrument panel.
On board, the Zeekr Mix adopts an asymmetrical dashboard design featuring top-mounted glovebox and roof-mounted airbag, both granting more space – namely legroom – for the front passenger. Primed here too is a massive 15-inch floating infotainment touchscreen display that can swivel either towards the driver or passenger. Next to which is a 13-inch curved digital instrument panel.
Separating the front seats is a console box with an armrest and a built-in fridge, and the whole assembly can slide forwards and back over 790 MM. It also comes with mounts to fit tables, cupholder or an inflatable mattress – which fits when the front seats are folded flat.

Separating the front seats is a console box primed with an armrest and built-in fridge. It can slide forwards and back across 790 MM, and it comes with mounts to fit tables, cupholders, or an inflatable mattress.

The rear passenger seats are powered, heated, ventilated and massaging. They also boast ottomas and fold-out footrests.
Rear passengers, on the other hand, get to bask in greater comforts thanks to their powered, heated, ventilated and massaging seats that also boasts ottomans and fold-out footrests front seat backs. Impressive to is the fact that the front seats can rotate 180-degrees to face rear passengers, or 90-degrees to face outwards, or pushed all the way forward to offer even more floor space.
And despite this much versatility in seating layout and arrangement, it doesn’t come a the penalty of boot space. As standard, the Zeekr Mix boasts a cavernous 568-litre capacity here, which can be expanded to well over 2,000 litres when the rear seats are folded.

Despite this much versatility in space and layout, it doesn't come at the penalty of boot space, to which the Mix offers 568 litres as standard, or over 2,000 litres with the second row seats folded.
Under the hood, all variants of the Zeekr Mix adopts a single rear e-motor and rear-wheel-drive (RWD) layout, the former rated at 421 PS (310 KW) and 440 NM. In turn, this enables the Mix to despatch 0-100 KM/H sprints in 6.8 secs.
Juicing said e-motor is either a 76 kWh LFP-type battery pack, or a larger 102 kWh NMC-type battery pack, and the claimed CLTC-rated range figures touted respectively are 550 KM and 702 KM. Moreover, the SEA-M platform’s 800-volt architecture boasts Geely’s “5.5DC” fast-charging tech, which promises 10-80% re-charges in just 10.5 minutes and 15 minutes respectively too.

In China, the Zeekr Mix sees two variants with two different battery types and capacities available. The largest of the two is a 102 kWh NMC-type pack that promises up to 702 KM CLTC range.
Notable here too is the Zeekr Mix’s ability to provide up to 60 kW of DC power, which in turn allows it to recharge other EVs. Despite so, the Mix’s built-in vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality remains rather mediocre with a rated 3.3 kW output.
As for driving assistance (ADAS) features, the package fitted in the Zeekr Mix is powered by a lidar sensor that works with dual Nvidia Drive Orin-X processors. This package also includes the option for the Navigation Zeekr Pilot (NZP) suite that enables full-on hands-free highway driving and, later on, city streets too via an over-the-air (OTA) update.

As for ADAS, the Zeekr Mix has a slew of which powered by a lidar sensor that works in tandem with dual Nvidia Drive Orin-X processors.
Open for orders in China now, the Zeekr Mix is priced at RMB279,900 (approx. RM171,227) for the 76 kWh battery variant, and at RMB299,900 (approx. RM183,439) for the higher-end variant primed with the larger 102 kWh battery pack.
