2024 Kia Sportage CKD Prices Revealed by Dealers – Est. From RM150K

Estimated prices for the all-new 2024 Kia Sportage CKD have been leaked online by dealers, starting from RM150,000 onwards.
Within hours after the commencement of its pre-booking, it appears that estimated prices for the upcoming 2024 Kia Sportage SUV were already revealed online. Said prices were unveiled by one of its dealer-partners on Facebook ahead of the model’s tentative debut at the upcoming Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2024 later in Dec this year.
According to said dealer-partner, the locally-assembled (CKD) Sportage will be available in four variants, with the baseline 2.0L 2WD model tentatively starting at RM150,000, followed by a mid-spec 2.0L 2WD High variant tagged higher at RM160,000. Both of these models use the same 2.0-litre 4-cyl naturally-aspirated SmartStream petrol engine that is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission to deliver 156 HP and 192 NM to the front wheels (FWD).

Moving on to the two up-specced variants, the 1.6T 2WD model is tentatively tagged at RM180,000, while the range-topping 1.6T AWD High—the sole variant offered with an all-wheel drive (AWD) system—is retailed at RM190,000. Unlike the low-spec variants, these two top-spec models employ a 1.6-litre 4-cyl turbocharged Theta II petrol mill that churns out 177 HP and 265 NM alongside a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox.
As for colourways, the Sportage CKD will be available in four colourways, namely Astra Blue, Meteor Grey, Snowflake White Pearl, and Jet Black.

Aside from these prices, other specifications on the new Sportage CKD remain the same as what we’ve detailed in our initial report. Key equipment highlights primed in this Korean C-SUV include a dual 12.3-inch display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, an ambient lighting system, a dual-zone climate control, a Harman Kardon premium audio system, and many more.

Both the Kia Sportage (left) and Mazda CX-5 facelift (right) C-SUVs are not only sold by Bermaz Auto, they are also being locally-assembled at Inokom Kulim plant in Kedah.
Given these prices, it seems that official Kia importers and distributors Dinamikjaya Motors (Bermaz Auto) have managed to price the new Sportage CKD on par with other C-SUVs currently on sale in our market. For reference, the locally-assembled 2024 Mazda CX-5 facelift—yet another C-SUV model sold by Bermaz Auto—retails from RM143,300 to RM187,200, thus putting the two models in the same price bracket.

On top of said leaked prices, we can also expect the new Sportage CKD to be offered with Bermaz Auto’s standard 5-year or 100,000 KM vehicle warranty and free service package. Should these prices be true, would you prefer the new 2024 Kia Sportage CKD over both its Japanese and burgeoning Chinese rivals out there? As always, don’t forget to leave your thoughts in the comments down below…
