2025 Porsche Taycan Gains New GTS & Taycan 4 Variants

Porsche rounds off the updated 2025 Taycan lineup by adding both the new Taycan GTS (left) & Taycan 4 (right) variants.
Months since its first inception, Porsche has finally rounded off the updated 2025 Taycan lineup by unveiling two new variants, namely the Taycan GTS and the Taycan 4. The new Taycan 4 will serve as the nameplate’s new entry-level all-wheel drive (AWD) variant, while the new GTS variant is offered to both the saloon and ‘Sport Turismo’ wagon bodystyles.

The 2025 Porsche Taycan GTS comes in both sedan (left) and Sport Turismo wagon (right) bodystyles.
Starting with the GTS, this newly-updated variant gets a healthy 100 HP power boost compared to the ongoing model, thanks to the addition of a new rear motor setup that also appears to weigh 10 KG less than the previous unit. This power boost has bumped up the Taycan GTS’ total output to 690 HP in Launch Control mode, which allows for a quicker century sprint time of 3.3 seconds–a 0.4 second improvement over the ongoing model.
Battery-wise, the Taycan GTS is now juiced by a larger 97-kWh battery pack that offers up to 628 KM of EV range (WLTP), which is a 120 KM increase over the previous version.

Besides the powertrain upgrades, the 2025 Taycan GTS also gets a specific suspension set-up with a “particularly sporty edge," according to Porsche. Despite this, performance parts like the rear-wheel steering (RWS) system and the trick Active Ride suspension system are both offered as optional extras to the GTS. Not to forget, the new Taycan GTS also gets a bespoke soundtrack, although it is technically borrowed from its up-specced sibling, the Taycan Turbo S.

Visually, the 2025 update saw the Taycan GTS getting the Sport Design front and rear ends finished in high-gloss black, as well as a staggered set of grey-hued 20- and 21-inch wheels—the latter is also borrowed from the Taycan Turbo S.

On board, the new GTS model comes with 18-way adjustable bucket seats as standard, a multi-function steering wheel from the range-topping Taycan Turbo GT, plus suede-like Race-Tex upholstery.

2025 Porsche Taycan 4
Moving on to the Taycan 4, this new baseline AWD variant of the 2025 Taycan is now available in both sedan and Cross Turismo bodystyles. As its name suggests, the Taycan 4 gets a dual-motor AWD setup that delivers 409 HP as standards, which can be briefly boosted to 429 HP in Launch Control mode. This allows the Taycan 4 for a decent 0-100 KM/H sprint time of 4.6 seconds—about 0.2 second faster than the previous model despite the extra 80 KG heft it carries.
Using the standard Performance battery can grant the new Taycan 4 about 559 KM (WLTP) of maximum EV range, although said figure can be boosted to 643 KM (WLTP) if customers get the optional Performance Plus battery package.

Visually, the Taycan 4 predictably looks more tamed and vanilla compared to the aforementioned GTS model, with the baseline AWD model riding on 19-inch alloys instead of the 20s used on the GTS. Besides its basic yet still gorgeous looks, the supposed ‘baseline’ Taycan 4 also benefits from several key standard equipment such as Porsche Traction Management (PTM) and Adaptive Air Suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM).

Order books for both the new 2025 Porsche Taycan GTS and Taycan 4 have been opened in selected international markets, with prices starting from $103,300 (RM459,478) for the latter and $147,900 (RM657,859) for the former. The addition of these two new variants brings the total number of variants for the new 2025 Taycan to 13, with the new top-spec Turbo GT model being the peppiest and most extreme of them all.
