DBKL Charging Non-Citizens RM1 On Three More GoKL Bus Routes

Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) will start charging non-Malaysian citizens RM1 per trip to use the GoKL bus service on more routes on January 1, 2025.
The fare will be applicable to the following GOKL bus lines: Mango Red (KTM/MRT Kampung Batu to Chow Kit), Pink (University LRT to PPR Seri Pantai), and Orange (Titiwangsa to MINDEF).
This comes after four other GoKL bus routes—Green (KLCC to Bukit Bintang), Purple (KLCC to Bukit Bintang), Red (Titiwangsa Hub-KL Sentral), and Blue (Titiwangsa Hub-KL Sentral)—had previously adopted the RM1 fare for non-Malaysians.
Malaysians can ride for free, but they have to verify using their MyKad. Prior to enrolling for free rides on GoKL, Malaysians who have a damaged MyKad or an older MyKad (without the Touch 'n Go functionality) must renew their cards with the National Registration Department (JRN).
To make sure that their balance is not taken away during rides, MyKad holders need to register or validate their cards. Children under the age of 12 can ride the buses for free and do not need to register, regardless of their citizenship.
In case you haven't registered your MyKad for the complimentary GoKL bus service, you can do so at Hentian Akhir Titiwangsa, Universiti LRT Station (East), and Hentian One Maxim between 7 a.m. and 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. (daily).
Additionally, from 9 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 4 pm every day, DBKL will have a registration counter on the eighth floor of Jabatan Pengangkutan Bandar (Menara DBKL 2).
