New BMW i5 M60 xDrive Price Announced – RM478,800

BMW Group Malaysia has announced the official pricing of the new BMW i5 M60 xDrive
BMW Group Malaysia has just announced the official pricing for the all-new BMW i5 M60 xDrive. This M-badged version of BMW’s executive electric saloon is now available for purchase at RM478,800 on-the-road – thus delivering the early estimated price given by the Bavarian automaker.

Previewed at the Malaysia Autoshow 2024 (MAS 2024) earlier this year, the i5 M60 xDrive is essentially a performance variant of the G60 BMW i5 EV saloon, featuring a peppier dual-motor AWD setup rated at 601 HP and 795 NM. This enables a decent 0-100 KM/H sprint in 3.8 seconds, en route to its electronically-limited V-Max of 230 KM/H.
Besides the peppier motor setup, the i5 M60 xDrive also gets some M-specific mechanical bits like the Adaptive M Suspension Professional with Active Roll Stabilisation and Active Roll Comfort. Combined, this chassis upgrade promises an equally high level of agility to match the high power outputs and speed delivered by this M-badged EV saloon.

As for the battery, the i5 M60 xDrive gets the same 83.9-kWh battery pack used on its non-M-badged twin, the i5 eDrive 40. Due to its peppier motor setup, however, the WLTP figure is capped at only 516 KM, while both 22 kW AC and 205 kW DCFC are carried over from the eDrive40 model.

Being a proper M-badged EV saloon, the i5 M60 xDrive gains a slew of M-specific This includes things like the M badge on the front hood and fenders, a sporty M body kit finished in gloss black, as well as special 21-inch M alloy wheels featuring a sporty multi-spoke design and two-tone finish.

On board, the i5 M60 xDrive comes laced with plenty of BMW’s latest and greatest tech, with the cabin centrepiece being its BMW curved display module powered by the latest BMW OS 8.5. Other cabin features present here include the sporty carbon fibre trims on the front dash, the sophisticated ambient lighting system, as well as both the BMW Digital Key Plus and BMW Driving Assist Professional Package suites.

Priced at RM478,800, the all-new BMW i5 M60 xDrive comes standard with the BMW Group Malaysia Premium Ownership experience on top of the standard 2-year vehicle warranty. This includes an 8-year or 160,000 KM warranty for its battery system, BMW Roadside Assistance and Accident Hotline, and BMW Service Online.
For an extra RM20,300, buyers can opt for the BMW Service and Repair Inclusive package, which replaces the standard vehicle warranty with a 5-year extended warranty and service package. For more information regarding the new BMW i5 M60 xDrive, you can visit BMW Malaysia’s online retail platform or contact any of your preferred BMW dealerships nationwide.
