BMW Group Malaysia has revised the CKD G20-gen BMW 3 Series line up.
BMW Group Malaysia sees its locally built (CKD) G20-gen 3 Series model range updated for its latest 2025 model year (2025MY) guise. The group has streamlined its line-up slightly as it enters the new year with several significant changes to note.
For the Kulim-built 3 Series range sees one big omission – its plug-in hybrid (PHEV) offering. For 2025, the group has dropped the 330e M Sport variant, and it doesn’t seem likely that this electrified flavour of the 3 Series will return, at least for now.
330e M Sport PHEV has been axed for 2025.
As a refresher, the 330e M Sport was introduced back in Jan 2023 alongside the face-lifted 320i M Sport and 330i M Sport guises. When it was still available, said PHEV variant commanded a base price of RM278,600, or RM303,800 with the BMW Service & Repair Inclusive (BS & RI) package added.
The 330e’s axing aside, all other variants of the 3 Series were retained. The line-up now consist of the base 320i M Sport, the mid-range 330i M Sport and 330Li M Sport duo, whilst the M340i xDrive M Sport Pro caps things off.
New Fire Red metallic and Artic Race Blue metallic paintjob options added.
As for changes, we’ll start with the exterior as it sees both Fire Red metallic and Artic Race Blue metallic paintjob options added. Apart from which, there are no other exterior changes to note. Instead, minor changes have occurred on board in the cabin.
Inside, all variants of the 2025MY 3 Series now sport a new flat-bottomed steering wheel design, new geometrical air vents for the climate control, and new finer grain trim materials in the dash’s upper instrument panel. Unique to the 330Li M Sport are new geometrical décor trims.

All 2025MY 3 Series variants retain the BMW Curved Display module, but these now run off the latest BMW Operating System 8.5 with QuickSelect plus enhanced speech recognition. The Parking Assistant function also gains new Video Augmented Reality (VAR) display.
Over on to the mechanical bits and the only notable change here is the enhanced suspension tuning endowed across all variants. This, according to the firm, promise better comfort levels, as well as improved control over open and uneven roads.
As for powertrains, this appears unchanged. As a refresher, you’ll find the 320i, 330i and 330Li all powered by the same 2.0-litre 4-cyl turbo petrol lumps – albeit with differing states of tune – driving their rear wheels through an 8-speed ZF automatic box.
Only the M340i xDrive Pro benefits with a beefier 3.0-litre in-line 6-cyl turbo petrol mill plus xDrive all-wheel-drive (AWD), the former churning out 387 PS and 500 NM to drive the latter and enable 0-100 KM/H sprint sin just 4.4 secs.
Light changes are abound in the cabin for the 2025MY 3 Series variants.
Lastly comes price and, whilst BMW Group Malaysia didn’t communicate the specific figures for the 2025MY 3 Series line-up in its press release, the brand’s latest 2025 price list is now available online via its official website. Based on which, prices for the 2025MY BMW 3 Series CKD range are:
Take note, only the BS & RI option brings a 5-year warranty and service package. Without it, the base prices listed sees only the standard 2-year warranty included.
