BMW Group Malaysia Establishes 6 New EV Chargers Across Putrajaya & KL

BMW Group Malaysia revealed today that it has collaborated with several leading electric vehicle (EV) charging point operators (CPOs) to establish new EV chargers at six new locations across both Putrajaya and Kuala Lumpur.
This latest development comes as part of the firm’s strategic infrastructure growth plan for 2025. To date, BMW Group Malaysia has made over 2,020 EV charging stations available through strategic collaborations with various CPOs.

As usual, the firm says these new BMW- and MINI-branded EV charging stations are opened to all EVs, and all are accessible via each of their respective partnering CPO's mobile app. In Kuala Lumpur, the firm teamed up with ChargeSini to adopt its two 60kW DC chargers at the InterContinental Kuala Lumpur located off Jalan Ampang. This facility, strategically situated in the heart of the Kuala Lumpur city centre, costs users RM1.39/kWh.

Next comes new charging stations primed at the KLGCC Gallery in Bukit Kiara. Established with partners ChargeEV, this location features two 22 kW AC charging bays costing RM1.00/kWh, as well as a four-nozzled 600 kW DC charging station that dispenses charge at a cost of RM1.80/kWh.
In Putrajaya, the firm teamed up with DC Handal to establish new charging stations at IOI Putrajaya and Pulse Grande Hotel (Presint 1). The former has one 22 kW AC charging point costing RM0.90/kWh, and six 240 kW DC chargers that cost RM1.50/kWh. The latter sees two 47 kW DC chargers that cost RM1.00/kWh.

Also in Putrajaya, BMW Group Malaysia partnered with Gentari to establish charging stations in Marina Putrajaya (Presint 5) and Kompleks Putrajaya (Presint 3). The former has two 7 kW AC charging points costing RM0.18/min, whils the latter location has three 20 kW AC chargers that costs RM0.25/kWH.
“The opening of additional charging facilities in key public areas in Putrajaya and Kuala Lumpur not only enhances convenience for EV owners in these high-traffic areas, but also supports our vision of an electrified future here,” says Benjamin Nagel, MD at BMW Group Malaysia, via press release issued today.
