MAS, Firefly Offer Extra Flights, Fixed Fares For Hari Raya

Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), encompassing Malaysia Airlines and Firefly, is significantly boosting flight capacity to cater to the expected surge in travel during the upcoming Ramadan and Hari Raya Aidilfitri holidays. By adding over 200 flights to their schedule, the group aims to ensure that families can reunite and celebrate these important festivities together.
Malaysia Airlines will be upgrading its aircraft and adding up to 200 new flight frequencies on major domestic routes, including Alor Setar, Kota Bharu, Terengganu, Miri, Sibu, Kuching, Tawau, Sandakan, Kota Kinabalu, and more, as part of its global "Time For" campaign.

For certain red-eye flights, the airline will also provide fixed all-in one-way fares, which start at RM389 to Sabah and RM319 to Sarawak. Bookings are only accessible on Malaysia Airlines' official website and mobile app until April 9, 2025, for travel dates between March 27 and April 8, 2025.
In the meantime, Firefly will commence a special sale from March 7 to March 20, 2025, with promotional tickets for travel from March 7 to November 30, 2025, starting at just RM69.
To meet increased demand, the airline plans to expand its jet and ATR-operated flights by up to 40 to destinations like Kota Bharu, Kota Kinabalu, Penang, Johor Bahru, Kuching, Tawau, and more.

Malaysia Airlines and Firefly will cap the base rate for one-way economy class flights from Kuala Lumpur to East Malaysia at RM499 to support the government's initiative to subsidise airline tickets during the Raya holiday. The capped rate will be in effect for travel between March 27 and March 30, 2025.
