Six Airlines Will Resume Narrow-Body Aircraft Ops At Subang Airport From August 1
Beginning August 1, 2024, six airlines will resume narrow-body aircraft operations at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (LTSAAS) in Subang. Firefly, AirAsia Malaysia, Batik Air Malaysia, SKS Airways, Transnusa, and Scoot Pte Ltd are among the airlines that have resumed operations.
Transport Minister Anthony Loke has announced that Batik Air Malaysia will operate the inaugural jet flight, departing for Penang at noon on August 1. Transnusa's flight from Jakarta is scheduled to arrive at 2 p.m. the same day.

Loke stated that flight operations at Subang Airport will run from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, with no midnight flights permitted due to the airport's location in a residential area.
This marks the return of narrow-body aircraft operations to Subang Airport, which had suspended all jet operations in 1998 and had previously relocated flights to Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
