Proton S70 Grand Prize Awarded To Winning Beauty Queen

For 24-year-old Ipoh native Janice Chian Yan Tong, winning the Miss Asia (Southeast Asia) 2024 pageant last Sept didn’t just include a crown on her head. In fact, the winning beauty queen took delivery of her grand prize in the form of a brand-new Proton S70 this week.

For reference, the Proton S70 was launched in Dec 2022 priced between RM73,800 and RM94,800.

The award-winning C-segment sedan was presented by the national automaker’s Deputy CEO Roslan Abdullah to Janice earlier this week. “The Proton S70 delivers everything I could possibly want, impressive power, sophisticated style, safety, and modern technology. It is a car that truly stands out in its class," shared Janice after she drove it for the first time after taking delivery.

“Proton is proud to present the winner of Miss Asia (Southeast Asia) 2024 with a unit of the Proton S70 as the grand prize and as a reward for her victory. This prestigious pageant embodies excellence, ambition, and confidence, which are values that align perfectly with our own corporate values,” added Roslan after he handed the keys over to Janice.

Apart from handing over the S70 grand prize to Janice, Proton also announced a series of special rebates and promotion for its entire line-up. Included here is a special deal for the S70 that sees it optional aerokit added with a rebate of up to RM8,130.

Besides that, Proton is also offering rebates of up to RM9,000 for purchases of both the X50 and X70 crossover SUVs, rebates of up to RM7,000 for purchases of the X90 three-row MHEV SUV, and rebates of up to RM1,000 for purchases of the Saga, Iriz, and Persona.
