Special Proton Saga Deals Abound For Grab Driver-Partners

Starting Nov 4, qualified Grab Malaysia driver-partners can purchase a brand new Proton Saga with special perks in store.
Starting Nov 4, national automaker Proton is set to offer budding driver-partners from e-hailing giants Grab (Grab Malaysia) with a special deal should they choose to adopt a brand new Proton Saga through the “Saga Power Up for Grab Drivers” campaign.
The initiative was borne out of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) inked by Proton and Grab this week. Said agreement was signed by Proton’s Deputy CEO Roslan Abdullah and Grab Malaysia’s Director of Country Operations and Mobility Rashid Shukor.

The "Saga Power Up for Grab Drivers" campaign was borne out of a recent MoA signed between Proton and Grab Malaysia.
Through this special campaign, Proton seeks to elevate its image in the e-hailing industry where it also recognised the significant potential for affordable and reliable entry-level models as such in this space.
From which, Proton is set to offer qualified Grab driver-partners with priority access when purchasing a brand new Proton Saga, followed by cash rebates, and a special 5% service discount valid for the first two years or up to 40,000 KM. The automaker adds that there is no limit to the number of Proton Sagas that qualified Grab Malaysia driver-partners can purchase through this campaign.
Proton didn’t disclose any of the campaign’s rebate amounts, but it’s worth refreshing you that prices for the Proton Saga currently starts from RM38,800 (1.3 Standard AT) onwards. “In addition to Proton’s package, Grab is offering up to RM500 for new driver-partners who purchase a Proton Saga and activate their Grab Driver account,” adds Grab Malaysia’s Rashid.

The partnership sees Proton acknowledging the significant potential of the e-hailing industry for entry-level models that are both affordable and reliable such as the Saga.
As one of its best-sellers with over 2 million units sold across multiple generations since 1985, the Proton Saga stands as an ideal choice for e-hailing use. For this, the automaker emphasised on the model’s safety that stems from the high count standard safety features equipped.
Highlights of the latter in the Proton Saga 1.3 Standard AT variant onwards include ABS with EBD and BA, both traction (TCS) and stability (ESC) control suites, hill hold assist (HHA), rear parking sensors, dual airbags, as well as seatbelts plus rear seat ISOFIX and top tether anchor points.
“Proton is thrilled to collaborate with Grab Malaysia to support the e-hailing industry by offering our iconic model, the Proton Saga, to Grab driver-partners. The partnership provides those who take up the offer with exclusive benefits while also supporting our vision to more accessible transportation for Malaysians,” expressed Roslan after signing the MoA mentioned.
