Stellantis Shakes Up Management And Structure, CEO Search Continues

Stellantis announced a slew of management and personnel changes this week, stating that these efforts "simplifies its organisation" better.


Global automaking giant Stellantis announced a series of management changes on Monday this week, altering a sizeable portion of its structure in the process. In its official statement, the firm says these efforts “simplifies its organisation” better.

It is worth noting that these management and personnel changes follow up form the recent and sudden departure of Carlos Tavares and the automaker’s CEO back in Dec 2024. On this subject, the firm notes that the search for a successor is “well under way” still.

Additionally, the company's interim executive committee led by chairman John Elkann reiterated that the process would be concluded in the first half of this year. Back to the recent changes, key amongst where were newly installed leaders for a slew of the automaker’s core markets.

Over its Peugeot brand, Stellantis have installed Alain Favey as its head. He succeeds predecessor Linda Jackson, who steps down from the role and into retirement.


Firstly, the Peugeot brand is now led by Alain Favey who replaces a retiring Linda Jackson effectively immediately. This appointment sees Favey report directly to Jean-Philippe Imparato, Sellantis’ COO for the Enlarged Europe business unit.

Favey previously served as CEO of rental car chain Europcar, which saw a stake held by Volkswagen Goup. Prior to which, Favey worked at the VW Group too as the head of sales and marketing at its Bentley and Skoda brands.

Next comes the DS Automobiles brand, and it’s now led by Xavier Peugeot, formerly the director of Stellantis’ Commercial Vehicles Business Unit. Peugeot succeeds predecessor Olivier François who still retains is position as CEO of Fiat whilst also heading Stellantis’ newly created Marketing Office.

Besides Peugeot, the DS Automobiles and Jeep brands also saw new heads installed.


Over in North America, the firm named Bob Broderdor as CEO of Jeep. Previously serving as Senior Vice President and head of Jeep North America, Broderdor succeeds Antonio Filosa who retains his position as COO of Stellantis’ Americas region instead.

Apart from the new appointment detailed, Stellantis also iterated that its regional management teams have been granted enhanced autonomy. They also gain “enhanced local decision-making and execution capabilities" in product planning, product development, industrial operations, and more.

Other changes detailed in the same announcement includes the consolidation of software development for all brands under the new Product Development & Technology arm, and the merging of its corporate affairs and communications arms to become one single unit.
