Heavy Traffic At Woodlands & Tuas Checkpoints During School Holidays, Hari Raya

Travelers crossing from Malaysia to Singapore during the March school holidays and Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations can expect heavy traffic at the Tuas and Woodlands crossings.
The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) reported that nearly three million travelers passed through these checkpoints during the Chinese New Year period (January 24-30), with a single-day peak of 521,000 travelers on January 24.
According to ICA, the high volume of traffic coming from Malaysia has resulted in significant delays at immigration checkpoints. During peak hours, drivers have been forced to wait in queues for up to three hours before clearing immigration.

Travellers are reminded to ensure their passports have at least six months of validity and to avoid bringing any restricted or prohibited items. For faster and easier immigration clearance, drivers and motorcyclists are encouraged to use QR codes instead of passports.
ICA reminds drivers to check traffic conditions at land checkpoints before their journey and to avoid queue-cutting, which compromises the safety of other road users. The ICA warns that drivers caught queue-cutting will be turned away and redirected to the end of the line.
