Report: New Porsche SUV Model In The Pipelines

Porsche is reportedly developing a third new SUV model, and it's set to enter the marque's line-up as early as 2027.
Porsche will soon see a third new SUV model added into its line-up, which will complement its existing Macan EV and Cayenne models. Plans for said third new SUV model was reportedly confirmed via a new product roadmap presented and detailed during its 2025 annual conference.
Notably, this third new SUV model will be combustion (ICE)-powered. Once approved, it could enter Porsche’s main line-up, joining both the Macan EV and Cayenne mentioned, before the end of the decade – perhaps 2027 at the very earliest.

This third new SUV offering is set to complement the Macan EV and Cayenne models once it's approved.
The firm reportedly said that it’s currently “evaluating an independent model line in the SUV segment” that would take advantage of existing “synergies”. It also promises a distinct design with its signature styling, a more upscale interior, and a chassis setup tailored to its brand identity.
Prior to this, the Stuttgart-rooted sportscar marque was reportedly mulling the idea of adding a new generation ICE-powered Macan model. Said notion was scrapped in favour of this reported new stand-alone third new SUV model instead.

Second-gen Macan set to remain as a pure electric (EV) offering as Porsche scraps plans for an ICE-powered twin.
In other words, the second-gen Macan will remain as a pure electric (EV) offering, whereas its first-gen ICE-powered predecessor will be phased out entirely, likely by 2026 – the latter is currently on sale in select markets alongside the electric second-gen successor mentioned.
Porsche didn’t outline this third new SUV model’s positioning in relations to the Macan EV and Cayenne noted, though speculation is rife this could directly succeed the ICE-powered first-gen Macan and slot above it but just below the Cayenne.

The Cayenne, on the other hand, is set to see its current ICE and PHEV forms remain available "well into the 2030," says Porsche. It will be marketed alongside a new fourth-gen and all-electric successor due by 2028.
Speaking of the Cayenne, a new fourth-generation successor arrives in 2028 as a “completely newly developed and designed electric model,” reportedly said Porsche. Similar to the Macan presently, the new Cayenne EV will be sold alongside the current third-gen model.
As a refresher, the latter third-gen Cayenne underwent a major revamp not too long ago. It also sees both pure ICE and electrified plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain options available. Porsche reportedly adds that the Cayenne in its current form will continue to be available “well into the 2030s.”
